Donald Trump Is Not Beating Hillary Clinton In The Polls, No Matter How Many Times He Says It

Donald Trump legitimately does not care about what polls actually say; he cares about what he can say about the polls.
He likes to talk about polls because polls are usually pretty good for him, at least since last July when he stormed into the lead in the Republican field. Polls serve as validation for his dominance, and so he talks about them as a slightly more subtle way of calling himself a winner. Last September, he suggested that he put so much weight on the polls that if his support started to crumble, he’d drop out. Obviously that didn't happen.
There’s one set of polling that Trump likes to talk about, though, that is at odds with this pattern. Trump frequently talks and tweets about how polls show him beating Hillary Clinton, when in fact polls almost always show the exact opposite.
Since Jan. 1 of this year, Trump has led in only five of 39 polls, including only two of the 16 that used live callers.
Since voting began, Trump has beaten Clinton in precisely one of the 29 polls that have been conducted.

Oh, but Trumpkins disbelieve the polls when they show their “Dear Leader” in the lead or when he “tells” them he is in the lead. When the polls show Trump down, they are summarily dismissed. Or they blame the source being the Washington Post; NY Times, Fox; CNN, National Review, and soon they’d be running out of source. This is what happened to blind allegiance.

That might in fact be true.
But, I don’t see Cruz or Kasich as viable choices. I don’t see how Cruz can get enough cross-over voters to win, and Kasich.... well.

Everyone knows that a nutty unstable grandma is just what the country wants. And Trump will blow her away. A cheating Cuban snake handler has less than no chance.
He’s to busy picking other women to demean and fight with.
No hes beating her in actual votes and demographics in the primaries often getting more votes in a multi-candidte race then she gets in a 2 way race.

Cruz won’t beat her. Trump may or may not beat her, but he is our best bet to win this year. Suck it up.
