Well Cruz is finished so they might as well stand behind Trump because the alternative is the end of the country. Hillary or Sanders wins, that will be the death knell. Cruz today accused Trump of planting the story about Cruz having affairs with 5 women, he called Trump not a liar, a RAT. So in other words he is admitted it, the guy is done, he is cooked, put a fork in him.

Why does the WP want Ted Cruz to get the nomination?

Regan wasn’t beating Carter
Bush wasn’t beating Dukakius (however you spell it)
Clinton wasn’t beating Bush

Odd thing this concept called an election. Where you go through a process over many weeks, not take a poll 8 months back and then call the election in March.

I hate the comparison of DEM vs GOP vote counts in the primaries. No one is putting up much of a fight against Hillary, so many are staying at home.

I am not saying Trump can't or won't beat Hillary. I just wouldn't use the primary vote totals are some sort of measuring stick for the general election.

But these Cruzbots think Cruz who can’t beat Trump without cheating and lies can beat Hillary. Common core math is really hurting these people’s reasoning.

Just as I thought. Polls are to be believed by Trumpkins only when they show him in the lead. Sorry folks, when your conman lives by the polls, then to borrow a scriptural analogy, you die by the polls. Trump is now a broken juggernaut. Nearly 70% view him in a negative light, and Hillary’s lead over him in a hypothetical match is the largest in electoral history between the two candidates. For the sake of the nation, Trump needs to suspend his campaign.

He’s winning the Republican race at this time and that’s all that counts.

“Not comparable. For several reasons”

1) it’s inconvenient
2) it’s inconvenient
3) it’s inconvenient

Frankly, if Killary is this close to being elected, then this country is in bigger trouble than we think.

It wouldn’t have been “crap” would it, if the polls showed Trump in the lead.

I can’t picture Cruz or any of the other also rans doing any better. They’d all run the same dreary campaigns that McCain and Romney ran, very predictable, just the kind of sitting duck campaign that Clinton is used to. She’s never had a hard hitting, hard fought campaign. Trump will hit her from every angle, and he’ll go places that none of the others would ever dream of.
