I appreciate the thoughts and comments.

I agree with you on much of it, but there is a danger here.

The RNC will shut this down falt, if this goes to the convention for a floor fight.

Trump will be aced out. That will be the end of the movement.

I know it sounds strange to say that, because one man seldom makes a movement. Trump is that rare man that has.

When he is defeated, he won’t run again, and nobody will be able to push through what he could have.

We figuratively stand on the precipice.

Our nation is actually hanging by a thread, and Ted Cruz and his followers have no idea how much actual damage they are in danger of doing to this nation.

This is not a normal election. It is the last chance.

A guy like Trump comes along once in a generation.

Cruz can’t drive home an agenda. He couldn’t drive home an election the Evangelical Christian South.

Folks, this is it. We win this or spend the next 30 years in the wilderness.

We have seen how far we have fallen since Reagan.

Imagine us falling that far again from here.

This is it. Now or never...

And in another poll - 98% of Republican women (the real ones) think Steelfish has had his brains all scrambled - a majority of them used the word “pathetic”.

I wouldn't mind seeing Trump come up short in the delegate count causing a brokered convention in which I believe Cruz would prevail.

In that scenario, 10 - 20 % of normal Republican votes would be lost; there would be a wave election for the Democrats and not only the Presidency, but the House, Senate, and Supreme Court would be gone for the foreseeable future. The First and Second Amendments would be reheard and decided in a liberal fashion. This is what Cruz would bring if he is perceived as stealing the nomination at a brokered convention. He would have to win 90% of the delegates outright, and fairly defeat Trump, to be acceptable as a nominee.

I’m not confident Trump can beat Hillary.

47% of Republican women will not vote for him, and Hillary thrashed Trump 27% points.

Some MALE FReepers have promised to stay home.

For the most part I agree with you. But the issue of the delegates who are currently committed to Rubio and Kasich are in question as well as the future delegates who may still be won by Kasich who is only in this to take votes from Cruz.

Either way, it's looking more and more like they are going to concede the election to Hillary and guarantee the out comes you've predicted.
