An arduous day, but my new laptop arrived today, so I'm back in commission, although still limited in resources.

I installed a new HD on the desktop and restored Windows, but for some reason the Ethernet Adapter was not installed. I downloaded a driver on the tablet, copied it over to the desktop and tried to install it - unsuccessfully.

It will take a while to restore all my files from Carbonite.
