Belgian brothers Ibrahim and Khalid El Bakraoui have today been named as the two airport suicide bombers who murdered 14 people eight days after escaping a shoot-out with police in Brussels.
The third member of the bombing squad - now known as the 'Man in White' - was named as expert bombmaker Najim Laachraoui, who is still on the run after leaving a suitcase packed with explosives and calmly leaving the terminal moments before the massacre at 8am yesterday.
Just 79 minutes later a suicide bomber detonated his vest on a Brussels Metro train at Maelbeek station killing 20 people.
Laachraoui was already one of the world's most wanted men, having built the suicide vests that helped kill 130 in Paris last November and went on the run with Salah Abdeslam before hiding in Brussels for four months.

Cruz was using the term Islamic extremists whatever that means. Guess that is a step up from religion of pieces.
Pray America wakes
quote “Ibrahim was sentenced to nine years in prison in 2010 for firing at police with an AK-47 assault rifle during a robbery.”
My math skills must be getting rusty, because 2010+9 should equal 2019...
You mean this RABID ANIMAL was suppose to be still in jail!?!?!? but I guess less than 5 years was plenty in Europe for attempting to murder policemen with a machine gun!!?!?!?!
WTH!!!!!
“but I guess less than 5 years was plenty in Europe for attempting to murder policemen with a machine gun!!?”
Hows a young mooslim yoooth from the ghetto ‘sposed to get clodes fo skool?
They’re all musliym males. Did you notice that the stream of “migrants” was mostly musliym males? Wonder what that means for the future of Europe.
Kick the slimy subhumans out! or there won’t be a Europe!
Yep. Remember “Fight them there so we don’t have to fight them here”? Instead they imported them in so we can do both.
Bush was a PC sheeple.
I've flown through more than 75 US airports and can't recall one that had security checks before the ticket counters.
Security must be exceedingly lax. Subjects of a manhunt, yet able to walk into a crowded terminals with bombs.
In Europe, you can’t go inside the terminal without going through security. This was the case in Russia, Turkey, Greece. I was in the UK last summer, and I believe there was a screening too.
No airport I’ve been to has security in front You walk right in with your bags No metal detectors or screening until you get past the check in areas and head to the concourses
Obama: “Those men were not Muslims!”
In today’s day and age of political correctness and not hurting anyone’s feelings...
Imagine how different the world would be today if we didn’t have Hiroshima and Nagasaki, August 6 & 9, 1945.
Who in today’s world has the stones to do something like that, in order to prevent future human losses? (Rhetorical question; no replies needed.) ;-)
BS. You must have BDS.
There were few people talking about Islam prior to 9/11 except for Missionaries and ex-muslim pastors. No one cared.
Then 9/11 occurred and President Bush had to talk to America, both Muslim and Christian, and try to keep an intercine war from breaking out. No one really thought how many Muslims actually supported those actions.
With years of evidence behind us, we can accurately describe and point out our real attacker, Bush could not at that time.
What are you talking about? There is no security in baggage check.
“In Europe, you cant go inside the terminal without going through security. This was the case in Russia, Turkey, Greece. I was in the UK last summer, and I believe there was a screening too.”
Not at Charles de Gaulle in Paris. I was there in January and when I departed I walked right into the terminal with no questions asked. In fact, when I arrived there my flight originated in Iceland (another EU country), but I did not realize that I did not need to go through customs. I wandered around inside the terminal for a good 20-25 minutes looking to find the customs area. Some of the areas I entered had nobody in them, which I’m sure were off limits to non- airport staff. Noone said a word to me anywhere I went until I asked someone wearing an airline badge where customs was and they told me I did not need to go through because I had arrived from another EU country. I did not see any security personel.
“Dubya set us back 25 years in appropriately addressing the problem with that nonsense”
George W. Bush was a disastrous president, almost from the very beginning in so many ways. I remember the relief when he finally defeated Gore via the Supreme Court. Yet, his plethora of mistakes in office - even in the rare occasion when he did something right (tax cuts) he did it in the wrong way (funded with additional debt and made temporary). His presidency, its many abject disastrous failures, directly resulted in the Obama presidency, leaving us with nothing but failed leadership thus far for the entire last decade of the 20th century and the entire 21st century thus far. Is it any wonder the mess we are in?
The reality is what the reality is. He said it, it wasn’t true, it has set up back 25 years in properly addressing, thinking about, dealing with the problem.
No BDS involved, just a hard dispassionate review of the facts.
So far there's been very little pre-check-in screening in Western Europe - see Brussels, for example. I'd expect that to change but I can't imagine the nightmare it will cause if they add another level of screening at Heathrow or de Gaulle .
The rest of the world is all over the map, so to speak. In my experience India and a lot of Southeast Asia pre-screen luggage, as do parts of South America, but it's not consistent. In some cases they seem more concerned about agricultural products than anything.
I understand your point but unlike the Goths these North Africans were actively recruited and invited into Belgium to work in the factories. The same is true in France and with the Turkish population in Germany.
Not really an invasion, just the price of empire.
These are Belgian brothers???
