John McCain 2008: Popular vote - 9,902,797
won 37 primaries
Mitt Romney 2012: Popular vote - 10,031,336
won 42 primaries

Donald Trump 2016: Popular vote - 7,548,925
won 20 primaries

Trump has got more than 75% of Romney & McCain’s final vote totals - and he’s only won 20 primaries so far. I’d say he’s a mite popular...

I just don’t think these journalists are actually talking to voters. My brother has a couple of gate-keepers (security guards) at the facility where he works. A couple of months ago, he sat down in the coffee shop that’s in the building and had a chat with them.

Most are former US Army and in their 40s and 50s today. They will note with pride that they are all die-hard Democrats. So he asked them over their view of 2016. None were really hyped over Hillary or Bernie. Almost all of them were drawn in some fashion to Trump. So he asked...would they vote for Trump. Half said they would, and the remainder indicated they might just stay home this time (not vote). I should note....these are all minority members.

If this 10-percent of the voters of 2012 stay home, and if just 10-percent shift their vote from the normal Democratic vote to Trump....then it’s a major trend across the entire US. Journalists might want to get up....go out to cafes, barbershops, and bars....and talk to real people. The shift is occurring, whether they report it or not.

Oh look, another article about Trump telling us stuff that doesn’t matter very much.

The drama.

Abject mindlessness?

I spent 14 hours on duty as a poll watcher in the third largest precinct of my county in Florida. I can GUARANTEE the turnout was HUGE...........far beyond anything ever seen before, a total new record and many first time voters and some former democrats. We were afraid of running out of ballots. Trump had a 38% margin OVER his closest rival, Rubio. Cruz was a very dismal third.
The numbers ARE there. Trump HAS created a movvement. To deny it is an outright lie.

A Gallup Poll of July 26, 1988, showed Michael S. Dukakis leading George H. W. Bush by 17 points.

I believe the word is UNPRECIDENTED.

In Virginia the increase in turnout was 400 percent over 2012
In Missouri 350 percent.
Texas had close to a million more people vote.

If someone did the calculations on State by State increases...I bet they would set a record.

BIG is a small word to describe this movement. Viva Trump.

I hear that after Chuck Norris decided not to endorse the Teddy Bare, he started wearing Donald Trump pajamas. ;-)
