Top political aides to Sens. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz connected Friday to discuss how delegates currently bound to Rubio might be allocated, a Cruz campaign aide confirmed to RealClearPolitics.
Although the conversation between Rubios former campaign manager, Terry Sullivan, and Cruz Campaign Manager Jeff Roe was brief and no resolution was reached, the development suggests the two former rivals could be moving toward detente if not an active collaboration.
-snip-
If Rubio does decide to endorse Cruz, the aide said, that decision would likely be reached between the two of them, not among senior aides.
Marco and Ted are good friends, so the reality is, this wouldnt be like how other endorsements have taken place, said the aide to Cruz. The way this will happen is Marco and Ted will talk, and both of them will let us know.
Another line of communication opened Friday, however, when Sullivan and Roe spoke by phone to discuss the fate of Rubios delegates. They also talked about the state of the race more generally, but did not touch on the possibility of an endorsement from Rubio.
Asked whether an agreement has been reached between the two camps, Roe said no. We have no agreement and any suggestion to the contrary is false, he said. Maybe it will become true, but that certainly is not the case right now in any shape, fashion or form.

Don’t know I didn’t put it there.
good to see everyone’s finally getting along :)
I didn’t say it was....
NEVER!
An Elitist love affair perhaps? How romantic!
//This is an excellent way to score 100 plus nominating delegates //
Yes, it would increase Ted’s chances from none to slim
Haha.
I like your spirit, but you’re frankly becoming a tool of the establishment at this point.
Think about it. Romney has endorsed your guy. McCain has endorsed your guy.
Not the profile, of a counter-culture hero.
FWIW:
From Newsmax, according to The Hill
169 Rubio Delegates:
54 unbound free agents (NH,AL,MS,MN,DC,& LA.)
19 reassigned by state party leadership (NV,KY,AK) Alaska’s completed.
29 Rubio controls ‘when’ but not to whom they are directed (AR,TX,OK&KS)
76 Locked in through the 1st vote and some through the 2nd ballot (GA,TN,VA,PR,HI, & NC)
However, I already notice this error:
Georgia Code § 21-2-197: “Any delegate to a national convention whose presidential candidate withdraws ... shall be an unpledged delegate ..
But did Rubio technically suspend or withdraw? words matter.
Trump is more conservative now than he used to be in regard to deportations; however, even in 2012 he already was significantly stronger than Romney on securing the border. As far back as 2000, in his book, The America We Deserve, he condemned illegal immigration, said that illegals needed to leave the country, and insisted we should put the interests of Americans before those of immigrants (even legal ones). By 2011 in the chapter, “It’s Called Illegal Immigration for a Reason,” in his book Time to Get Tough, Trump came down very hardline on the border, saying we need to build a wall, greatly increase border patrol agents, deport illegal criminals, stop giving anchor babies citizenship, etc. So, yes, I think his calling for the border to be secured for the last 16 years is long enough for me to trust that he will actually do it, especially considering all the heat he’s taken for his position.
Introducing Marco Rubio, former presidential candidate and FOX News commentator. “I think President Clinton is way off base here Megyn...”
Yes, that is why Romney is out talking up his boy Ted. That’s the ticket. I guess that if the Cruz being the savior according to Beck thing doesn’t work out you can always go with this.
I would be surprised if Rubio helps Cruz in any shape, manner or form. I think the GOPe's hatred of Cruz's "limited Government" is insurmountable.....and we are already seeing them try to "sink" Cruz with Neil Bush's backhanded comments about how he's supporting Cruz because there's nobody else, Mitt Romney with the same crappy lines and Lindsey Graham, who knows he is the kiss of death to any candidate, saying he'll fund raise for Cruz.
I've always thought the GOPe/media's balderdash against Trump is a blooming ruse to herd the rebellious sheeple in Trump's direction, and to date, I haven't seen anything to disprove my thesis.
“Now do you support Cruzs increasing warm relationship with these people or not?”
I’m happy to get whatever votes we can get.
And you’re going to tell me Trump would refuse votes from whatever source he receives it?
Careful now. Be honest. God is watching...
It never gets old for me... Rubio defeated Crist and rode a Tea Party wave in Florida with an impeccable conservative record going back years. Same for Cruz basically. They’re RINO/GOPe. But the Kerry/Clinton donor who just discovered he is pro-life, hires illegals by the ton, and favors universal healthcare... THAT’S the guy!
It would be funny if his nomination didn’t mean the Dems will win the presidency, the Senate, and quite likely even the house.
“Trump isnt a RINO...he isnt a republican, democrat, conservative, or liberal...”
That’s comforting.
So what you’re telling me is Trump can rule like a king, making decisions on a whim, with no accountability whatsoever.
And you’re OK with that, because he’s “anti-establishment”?
“Which is why Romney endorsed and is making robocalls for...Donald Trump Ted Cruz!
Gimme a break.”
Have you ever bothered to check Trump’s previous political positions and his prior political donations?
Actions speak louder than words...
I asked you a question.
Be honest now...
No The definition changed in the last 6 months...
