Although U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is not a Mormon, a couple of his biggest backers are, and they have made a big push in Utah to put the GOP presidential candidate over the top.
U.S. Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah), a popular figure who is running for re-election in the Beehive State, appeared with Cruz and talk radio host Glenn Beck at campaign stops over the weekend. Calling Cruz his "best friend," he urged Utahans to vote for the Texas senator in Tuesday's primary.
Beck, on the other hand, gave a fiery speech that included some Mormon prophecy.
"We are here for the Constitution of the United States," he said. "It did not come from men. It came from God.
"Like many Mormons, I believe in a prophecy that the Constitution will one day hang by a thread in the last days. I believe that time is now, and I believe people like Mike Lee and Ted Cruz will save it."
He continued by saying the Book of Mormon was given to man to protect freedom. In response, many in the audience shouted, "We believe!"
Beck has made comments like these in the past, particularly during the Obama presidency, both on his radio program and on the various incarnations of his television program. They are references to a Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints prophecy.
This was the first time the radio host, who is Mormon, has attributed the prophecy to a particular person.

“Preacher is a right job for Cruz. He can pick any religion/cult.”
As time goes by that is becomming more apparent.
Yep, the hypocrisy knows no bounds.
Neither was Romney, as they were saying four years ago.
Sorry, I’m not following your point. please clarify.
Hi dear FRiend
:)
The Mormons, or any religion for that matter, has become TOO political and then becomes a threat.
The Mormons have always been more concerned with their own interests, usually having to do with money control, than justice or freedom.
Shortly after they left Missouri for Utah, another wagon train came along. These were Cherokee Indians, headed for the gold fields of California, still searching for a place they could call ‘home’......
When they got to Utah, the Mormons had blocked the road, refusing to let anyone pass without PAYING to use the road.
NO, it wasn’t THEIR road, but that didn’t matter. They were there ‘first’.....RIGHT!
When my husband was in business, he got some Mormon contracts....what a nightmare...doing business with them is NOT fun!
The worst thing is...the MORMON CHURCH condones illegal immigration and many want MORE immigration and actually didn’t discourage Obama’s exec amnesty.
I FIND IT CURIOUS that most of Cruz’s supporters are PRO AMNESTY!!!! WHY???????
http://janariess.religionnews.com/2014/11/21/mormon-immigration-obama/
regarding the toll road....
they learned it from the Texans who learned it from the Tennesseans
you had mentioned Beck and the false prophecy..
I thought you meant you knew of the white horse prophecy a false prophecy of Joseph Smith of the mormons...
he threatened and prophesied against the government of the United States and this was part of that treason...
he said there would come a time when the Constitution would as he called it “hang by a thread” (he was wanting to run for POTUS at the time and making demands on the congress)
He claimed that only the Mormon elders the so called “priesthood holders” could save the Constitution..
These “priesthood holders are called Melchezadec priests and are suppose to have the same powers and “keys” as the Mormon jesus had...through Peter to Joseph Smith and on..
of course there was only one Melchezadec priest and that is the LORD Jesus Christ Himself...
and so that’s the prophecy that Beck was speaking of andf that’s why he ordered all the “priesthood holders” to stand and every male over the age of 12 stood...then he told them to “take up your standard” and so they did...this is just “spiritual” but it refers to what they will need when the time comes to “save” the Constitution and thus save the nation and become the sole rulers of the United States forever...
the Mormons claim that the New Jerusalem is in Missouri and that the Garden of Eden was also in Missouri...
Even Willard Mitt Romney announced in 2008 to a gobsmacked TV interviewer that Missouri was the place...
so in that Trump should be assured that yes indeed Romney is a good Mormon !!!
LOL
Not a good Christian but a good Mormon

I only went one time to a Mormon “family research center”
about 20 miles from my house..
I was trying to find which way my own ancestor would have gone to get to the CA goldfields..across the prairies or by ship from NY and around the Horn..
a lady who I don’t think was Mormon wanted to help me and she happened to say oh no if he went that way he would have had to pay to pass that area (I was tracing across Utah Territory with my finger..OK for effect..)
I almost laughed out loud knowing about the Mormons and their highway robbery their tolls and their murder and robbery of wagon trains..they would have demanded “tribute”
so I swallowed my grin and innocently asked who would have done that ???
she quickly informed me that the Indians did...
I must have shown my mirth by the merriment in my eyes because another person (had to be a Mormon) practically ran across the room saying he would help me ...
can you imagine the wild Indians bothering to stop white men and ask them for a toll and then letting them go on their way unmolested ??? For one thing most didn’t speak English or French ...
even more who would believe Mormons would wait and ask Christian men first before they robbed and killed them ???
LOL
consequently I left shortly thereafter..
but I did strike some gold...
I had read in the past my ancestors had been listed as dead dunked...
The lady had innocently downloaded and printed out a page from their secret private no access website for another ancestor before we discussed my gold digger...
on the web page for my dead ancestor there it was all the info the official record of the B M E S the baptism for the dead, the marriage by the Mormons to fortunately his own wife, all kinds of Endowments and there he was sealed to his son another of my ancestors..his death certificate lists him as Conexion Methodist..
a person working in the Mormon building gave me a page from their very own website..
:)
>>> He claimed that only the Mormon elders the so called priesthood holders could save the Constitution..
Thanks for the clarification!... lol... no i was not familiar with this one.
A little confusing though considering Cruz is not a Mormon.
A bit of a stretch for Beck applying this to Cruz.
Thanks again
That Glenn Beck is one persuasive guy, eh?
whatever
it ain't republicanism and it ain't American
I’ve never been to a Mormon research center.
My information came from a diary kept by one of the Cherokees on the Wagon Train that I obtained when I was researching my book on this Cherokee family. FASCINATING.
At present, I think he would take the endorsement of the pope if he thought it would win him California, after which, he would say it was unimportant.
He will begin disinviting Beck and Wiltard from his rallies as soon as he pockets the Utahrd delegates.
Well Cruz is the 7th king and all. Just ask his Dad. :-)
There is prophesy all right in the Book of Revelations: “In those latter days there will arise false prophets among you.” Take it however you choose.
Now if this is what you're into, they got a pretty kinky thing going if that's your bag
the only fulfillment of scripture I see in Ted Cruz, is this highly edited passage of scripture: from II Peter 2:16... “the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice.”
Yup, I admit, that could be referring to a creature like Ted Cruz..
Cruz IS GOPe. The mask has been coming off each day, a little more...
