Trump called for an outright ban on Muslims entering the country, which Tom Cotton a conservative Republican senator said was wrong, according to POLITICO.
On Tuesday, Cotton told radio host Bill Bennett that he would not support Trumps proposal but added that, at the same time we shouldnt allow political correctness to get in the way of recognizing that there are a large number of radical Muslims around the world who would like to come to the United States and attack Americans.
Asked whether that means greater outreach in the Muslim community is needed, Cotton said, of course.
We need to not just encourage Muslims around the world to try and lead a reform movement within Islam that rejects the Brotherhood, ISIS, Al Qaeda viewpoint, but we also need to highlight it when they do so, he said, pointing to the United Arab Emirates and Egypt as positive examples.
POLITICO reports the meeting will take place before Trumps scheduled speech and meet and greet to a large pro-Israel conference taking place in the nations capital this week.
A source close to Cotton, a first term Republican known for his hawkish foreign policy views, said that Cottons attendance did not signal an outright endorsement, but rather that he was interested in hearing what the Republican front runner has to say, the news outlet reported.

There are no “moderate Muslims”. (Maybe 2 or 3).
When I see Muslims marching in the streets, by the THOUSANDS, opposing the Jihadis, condemning the barbaric violence (beheading is actual “violence”) I’ll change my opinion on “moderate” Muslims.
This won’t happen, because real Muslims believe what the Koran says. They believe in Jihad. They believe in Sharia law. They believe in the caliphate, Muslims taking over the ENTIRE world.
This is why we must oppose ALL Muslims. Just because they try to hide their violent, world domination by force, agenda behind a religion, we CAN’T ALLOW them to get away with it. We can’t be politically correct about this. We can’t let political correctness lead to our DESTRUCTION.
We wouldn’t allow a Nazi religion to prosper and hide behind the first amendment would we? They would be universally denounced and run out of town on a rail. Would we allow Nazi “worship centers” to proliferate all over the country? Would we allow female Nazis get their driver’s license photos wearing KKK hoods? Would there even be a discussion?
Nazis would be and are ostracized in this society. So should Muslims be until they renounce their religion’s radical ideas. It’s not the radicals in their religion, it’s their radical religion! “Religion of peace”, my A$$!

Something in that DC water........Something in that DC money.... There fixed for you!!!!
I began to wonder about Cotton before he was even elected. He was gushing over Mrs. Bill in an interview in 2013 or 2014.
Apparently, the questionable dedication to conservatism is true of the new NE senator too, Ben Sasse.
Cotton is right, but probably for the wrong reasons. Trump should just take on the same approach that Cruz is touting, namely pausing all immigration until we can get a handle on things. Singling out Muslims makes it easier for the Hildebeast and lefties to cry racisim, etc.
How about the M brotherhood within our own government ?
He said at the press conference he would be presenting a list of 7-10 potential judges shortly. The heritage foundation was working on it presently
