Why Rubio Struck Out
American Thinker ^ | March 18, 2016 | Steve Feinstein

Posted on 03/18/2016 9:51:59 AM PDT by Kaslin

Marco Rubio’s 2016 Presidential campaign is over. Under-performing from the start, never able to get real traction and command serious attention from either the media or Republican Party insiders, Rubio vacated his Florida Senate seat to embark on a fool’s errand, chasing a ghost he never had any chance of capturing.

Going in, it looked better: If there was ever a prototypically-perfect Republican candidate for a normal election cycle, Rubio was certainly it:

Check, check, check. Every box, like no other Republican candidate, ever. Bring ‘em on. Finally -- this is the Republican candidate with the political skills and personal qualities that can go toe-to-toe with Hillary and the liberal media and beat them outright. This is not the milquetoast Bob Dole or the old, unattractive only-sort-of-conservative John McCain or the strangely placid and complacent Mitt Romney.

“He listened to Chuck Schumer and the media”

No, he listened to his boss, Cesar Conda, who picked Rubio when he was still in Florida to push AMENSTY, long before Rubio met Schumer.

People like Conda don’t get ‘hired’ to be a chief of staff for a lowly state rep like Rubio...they picked Rubio for their Trojan Horse. Conda also brought Paul Ryan into DC politics. The open border/bad trade cartel owns them both.

WHO is Cesar Conda? Until you know, you don’t know Rubio.

In retrospect, it should have been obvious to us ...

Marco Rubio was the 2016 Republican version of John Edwards -- just an oily prima-donna who came across as a complete phony.

When someone takes you to the dance, and you stab them in the back, don’t expect them to be eager to crawl in bed with you.

That was indeed strange. Even more so was they let him get away with it. Thankfully the voters didn’t in 6 contests. Anyone else having a disaster of a night like Cruz did would be laughed out of the primary. Cruz has been treated with kid gloves this whole primary. Disgusting.

The author never even mentioned Rubio’s treason on Amnesty, his membership in the Gang of Eight, or the sharp about face from Candidate Rubio’s opposition to Amnesty to Senator Rubio’s support. If Rubio had kept his word on that one issue (and if he had not malfunctioned on his memorized script, malfunctioned on his memorized script, malfunctioned on his memorized script, malfunctioned on his memorized script), he would likely be the nominee. Those in the establishment class pretend that isn’t even a consideration, but they know better.

A nonsensical list of qualifications centered around political coorectness and superficial aspects, much like Obama. Probably the least-qualified and least-vetted candidate ever to have national party support. Thin resume, no track record, but suited to play the role of splitting the non-Jeb vote.

Why did Rubio strike out? There’s a very simple 3-word answer:

Gang of Eight.

Not good enough for you, then here’s another:

He’s a sell-out.

He had a bright future, until he f’d it up with that one idiotic decision. He ought to find the aide that suggested that and punch him in the mouth. Now, at best, he’ll be a high-priced lobbyist who, in 10 years, no one will remember or give a damn about.

Writer is very biased. My take :

- Short height (5.8”)
- Looks immature, very boyish
- nervous
- talks with 100m/m speed
- repetitive
- gang of 8
- over-rehearsed
- making fun of a successful business was a foolish idea, which took him down.
- corrupt
- he was chasing money

Conservative “bone fides” on low taxes and family values

What have “conservatives” done for family values? Nothing but flap their lips. ‘Low Taxes’, yeah on the wealthy.

He listened to Chuck Schumer and the media

Yep.

No matter how many rocket scientist talking heads come up with different explanations.

There really is one cause and one cause only why his candidacy was still born.

Schumer was brilliant. He discovered the Rube could be sucked in to betraying his constituents and, in the role of virtuosity violinist, played the Rube like a fine violin. Not only did Schumer get the Rube to be the spokesman for the Gang of Eight, he also managed to destroy one of our best young potential leaders.

It was amnesty and gang of eight.

Once doomed in Florida, he was doomed elsewhere.

Middle Clas Americans are not going to settle for being permanent lower class. No matter how much doctrinaire conservatism gets thrown at us by our supposed purist betters.
