NEW YORK -- The Secret Service, FBI and New York Police Department are investigating what sources tell CBS News is a threatening piece of mail sent to Donald Trump's son, Eric Trump.
The mail, sent to Eric Trump at his posh Manhattan residence at 100 Central Park South, also known as Trump Parc East, was opened by his wife Thursday.
A source close to the investigation said the letter had a Massachusetts postmark and warned that if Donald Trump doesn't withdraw from the race for the Republican presidential nomination -- paraphrasing -- harm will come to the kids.

A source familiar with the matter said the envelope contained suspicious white powder that's been sent to a lab for testing. The source a preliminary field test indicated the substance didn't appear to be hazardous.
No injuries were reported.

I just listened to the CBS News report on this, which runs on the Rush Limbaugh show.
The report was 100% about that Trump is responsible for this. The threat was only reported in the beginning of the first sentence. Then it was ... But Trump has angered people at home and around the world with his incitements of violence at his rallies, and his hatred toward muslims and others.
I kid you not! This is the evil that Americans hear every day. Oh the beginning was that this is the FIRST threat against Trump’s family BUT ... so in other words he has threatened the whole Earth but hey this is only the first time they threatened to kill his family!
So you see they can do anything to us, kill our families, it’s all our fault. The left must be stopped.
IIRC, Putin's dog ate the hors d'ouevres at some state reception in Moscow.
See my post around 121 the CBS Radio report just directly stated this is about Trump’s hatred and violence, which is angering people around the world! They didn’t imply it, that was the report. The threat to his family was dismissed as his fault and only natural, no big deal.
Thanks for your permission! When I grew up in America character mattered. Speaking out against someone doing something blatantly wrong is not sympathy or even a statement about the individual wronged. It is a statement about the actions of the wrongdoer. Sadly even some on FR can’t see the difference. Just like the violence of BLM is wrong regardless of where it is directed. I miss the America I knew!
I KNEW it. I called it in post 2. The media is so predictable, and I mean that in all the wrong ways.
Yep! His rhetoric puts his own family at risk.
I say everyone who says “Trump must be stopped” is invoking violence. Who are among those? The gopE and Ted Cruz.
“flashback to Ross Perot.”
Exactly! Threats to Perot’s family were the final blow that made him give up. He didn’t have much faith that anyone would help him protect them. You couldn’t blame him but I hope Trump is stronger.
The Bernie insertion aside, LOL— but Trump looked like he was ready to rumble with his aggressor. Look how he turns and lunges forward as to fight. Trump’s a man!
Oh my goodness! That is funny! You get better and better!
I love the way you used *Vince*
I believe his sons are armed as well.
LOLLOL Its amazing how many times that happens. Reminds me of my brother, when he was a kid he would constantly get into trouble like that. Getting his hand stuck in a bowling ball return machine at a bowling alley almost cutting off his fingers, or his sweater stuck in an escalator or his shirt being ripped off in an elevator door. My mother always said it was amazing he got through childhood alive LOL
Then, there was some trouble with the BB-guns. Sainthood. Your mom and me. ;)
Where do they learn this stuff?
Hey, Ann! Thanks for the kind words. I’m drawn to this mother-of-all-primary seasons like everyone else and can’t turn my back without missing something. Nice to see you again!
If those things are that nasty or spiteful, I don't have to make it all about me by running out in some silly effort to be 'relevant'; the action is bad enough that it is obviously nasty, spiteful, or illegal, with or without my comment.
Nor does my lack of comment constitute approval. It just means I didn't add to the chorus.
A Christian would indeed have and exlre6ss feelings at threats to any family.
Okay. I'm not sure what "and exlre6ss feelings" are. But I think I get your drift.
Sure, anyone would find threatening someone's family despicable. I'm not all over twitter or Fecebook, or any of that other stuff over it because it is, prima facie, deplorable to threaten someone's family.
My condemnation of an act diesn't make the act any worse, nor me any better. It will still be the same in the eyes of The Almighty. The acts of the people who did them speak for themselves, and that isn't a pretty statement about the person or persons involved.
Expressed is the word you questioned and apparently your computer messes up with Facebook as “Fecebook” and doesn’t as “diesn’t”. So everyone makes typing errors.
As regards your opinion of threats I am grateful that we are neither friends nor enemies as you seem to be a callous person whom I would definitely not enjoy or be comfortable knowing. You are correct The Almighty does know. Jesus did defend those wronged so I will follow that example. I wish you a pleasant day.
