So we shouldn’t let the other states weigh in? I’d be pissed if I was in California and I didn’t get a choice in who the party nominee is.

They will still vote, but it’s looking very good for Trump.

I agree! We need to have the show go on until at least June! It should be the last States holding the last primaries on June 7 that put Donald Trump over the 1237 mark. Then the DC primary on June 14 will be as irrelevant as the Washington Cartel has been all campaign.

At this point, what substance has Cruz brought to the campaign trail the past month??

All I hear coming from him is that “he’s the only person that can “beat” Trump. Well, judging from the past few “Super Tuesdays”, that’s not happening. Now he wants to “make fun” of Trump at AIPAC, for skipping the Fox Debate.

Meanwhile, Trump has shifted to making his case for the General Election and attacking Hillary. For Trump, he IS the nominee. And challenge to that will only allow the Establishment to steal the election from the people and coronate Hillary, and our country will be destroyed.

How is that different from the last 40 years or so? I live in Illinois, our primary is before California's. For the last near 40 years, the Presidential race and who the candidate will be has been decided long before the race ever got to Illinois. Our going to the polls on primary day has been a mere formality.

Why should California be any different?

We have not had a voice here in California for decades. The Republican nominee is a done deal by the time the primaries wind their way to us.

Correction, the June 14 primary in DC is for Democrats. June 7 is the end of the Republican primaries.

Then blame the California Republican Party for scheduling their primary in June...EVERY TIME.

Believe me, I sympathize - I'm in Texas, and in '08 the race was decided even before I could vote for Fred Thompson. I also lived in NJ for most of my life - with the primary pretty much always on the same day as CA's (as it is this year). Add to that the fact that NJ has been a blue state since 1992, and hasn't had a Republican Senator (other than as a temporary fill-in for someone who died) in decades. It sucks to not be represented, to have no voice - but sometimes reality sucks...deal with it.

This is simply not Ted Cruz' year - but he's young and, if he doesn't blow it by hurting the Party, he'll be around for a long time and do some great things (maybe even be President later).

Welcome to my world. The primary is always decided before it gets to the W. Coast. In 2008, I had a choice of Romney or McCain left....WOW!

Ted didn’t get any the last round and there is no way he won’t lose other states with zero delegates, so it’s over unless he wants to be a shill for the GOPe or Hillary.

Pissed? we already have Cruz working 2x time to parachute in on the third ballot regardless of who wins the primaries.

Remember some delegates are bound BEYOND just the first and second votes.

We ALSO have perfectionists who are delusional and on the cusp of losing their pundit jobs. (easy money for pontificating)

The horror of the donor class: voters voting might actually have an effect!

Nobody is stopping you from voting. You can even do a write in for the candidate of your choice.
