Boehner endorses Paul Ryan for President

Former House Speaker John Boehner Wednesday endorsed current House Speaker Paul Ryan to be the Republican presidential nominee.

At the Republican convention, “anybody can be nominated,” Boehner said at a conference in Boca Raton, Fla.

“If we don’t have a nominee who can win on the first ballot, I’m for none of the above,” Boehner said. "They all had a chance to win. None of them won. So I’m for none of the above. I’m for Paul Ryan to be our nominee.”

Over the last few months, Boehner has privately said that he thought Ryan would be a good candidate to heal a fractured party. The former speaker — who splits his time between Florida, Ohio and D.C. — has said in casual conversations that he thinks Ryan would be a good option if the party has not coalesced around a GOP candidate before the convention. Ryan's staff has recoiled at the notion, saying it was an "incredibly remote scenario," and the "speaker has no interest in it."

Paul Ryan said he was not even interested in running last summer, remember?

So why the sudden rekindling of fire in his belly? Does the Republican ex-stablishment know something they are not yet telling us?

The Mugwumps have not given up at all, have they? Their mugs are on one side of the fence, and their wumps are on the other.

And a straddle is never a very comfortable position.

Exactly. I would write Trump in anyway and wouldn’t vote for a single Republican anywhere else. My congressman is Leonard Lance, a lifetime politician and GOPe puppet. Sends me out his quarterly mailing bragging about how conservative he is and then votes the RINO line. Point is, he is highly vulnerable and usually only wins by a few percentage points. I’d gladly send him to retirement along with the entire Republican party. The way I see it, we are dead with Hillary and dead with the GOPe. So might as well end it sooner with Hillary and maybe pick up the pieces with a new conservative party.

Good luck getting Trump and Cruz to just roll over and let Boehner/Ryan take over without a fight.

I was just musing the other day about Boehner's presumed stint at Dropkick Murphy's.

Guess I was wrong.

Ryan would be the last republican to run for president.

Tells me everything I need to know about Boehner, Ryan, and the GOPe. They are not the party of Reagan; they are the Uniparty.

That’s because Paul Ryan won so big the last time he ran with Romney.

He was a dweeb.

Dweeb versus Hillary. He’d be licking her boots by 1 October.

Not gonna happen. Boehner was probably drunk when he said it.

Boehner has retired. He can make a public endorsement without repercussions.

Boehner did not come up with this on his own. He was urged to do so as part of a larger plan.

Lets look at what has happened.

First the Romney speech.

Then the plan for Rubio, Cruz and Kasich work together against Trump.

Then the Sea Island conference.

Then the violent attacks on Trump supporters and Trump rallies.

Then the coordinated media attacks on Trump for inciting violence.

Then the tens of millions for attack adds against Trump.

Then the public demand for Cruz to publicly apologize.

Now the plan for a brokered convention and the endorsement of a candidate who has not campaigned.

We will be starting a “#StraightTicket” viral movement soon, if they GOPe pulls something like this all Trump supporters will be pulling the lever on a straight ticket for the Democrats, this will take out everyone connected with the GOP, from senators, congressmen to local officials, and not just in November, but for years to come

Ryan was at the Sea Island Conference where plans were put together to stop Trump from getting the nomination.

Don’t forget Kasich to be used as the tool as the alternate to Trump to keep Cruz from moving ahead. Trump votes don’t go Kasich.
