Ted Cruz fought his way to second place in the Republican primary as the conservative who never compromises. But already, hes learning to stretch.
Behind closed doors, Cruzs aides are talking about how to draw more centrist supporters as Republican rivals drop out. They have given former Jeb Bush donors access to the entire campaign leadership team. And Cruz has made overtures to Senate colleagues who despise him, praising Mitch McConnell and Marco Rubio and talking by phone with Lindsey Graham.

Gee.
“Natural-born citizenship” would sure be nice.
Waaaay to late for that, though.
The founder of this site supports Cruz. You’re telling him he should be ashamed?
Crus did horribly yesterday. I thought up to a few weeks ago he was saying this is when he’d have the support he didn’t have in the south. Cruz can’t gain traction in the SE, he can’t gain traction in the rust belt. He’ll never get NY, NJ, CA in November. I can’t figure out what argument he has left, especially now that he’s taken off the mask and shown just how Bushed he is.
Referencing Politico to trash a solid conservative candidate. This place has become DU.
The putrid stink of warmed over Bush just keeps getting stronger.
“... praising Mitch McConnell ...”
The article provides NO evidence to support that phrase.
This seems to be yet another cynical and baseless lie meant to discourage conservatives from supporting Ted Cruz.
There is no reason for us to be ashamed. Cruz is the most conservative candidate in this race from the start. Unless YOU are ashamed of conservatism. Then it makes sense.
Cruz can not win without broad support. Neither can Trump.
Recently, some of these GOPe types have finally stood up to Obama and said they will not appoint his Supreme Court nominee. If they hold to that, they have at least something positive to say about them.
Cruz reaching out to these guys scares me less than Trump saying he can work with Pelosi, Reid, and other Dems.
Are you ashamed of supporting Trump after those comments from him?
Perhaps the MAIN REASON that many of us knew we couldn’t trust Cruz...
...because if he wants the support of the GOPe, which he obviously does now, he must get it on THEIR TERMS. And it looks as though he’s now caving to those terms.
“Freepers who support this guy should be ashamed.”
Pretty much only paid operatives are left...typically their posting history gives them away, although once in a while they make the mistake of bragging about their ‘access’.
This is how all politicians are, all owned, all corrupt and liars. We all know this universal truth. As evidence of this ask yourself what Good law have politicians passed that helps America in the last 100 years? There have been none only more government, more bad trade deals, more debt , more trade deficits, more immigrants, etc.
And people believe Cruz is different because he can lie better? Give me a break.
His argument is, was and will be, Save the Party...
Exactly. Cruz will say anything that he thinks will get him elected.
Cruz is a politician and is not a conservative he just plays one on TV.
Are you ashamed of supporting Trump after those comments from him?
Of course not...Trump says he will work with them...Unlike those you support he will not just fold without working with them and hand them everything they want...Your criticism of Trump is actually a plus...
That is simply not true. Trump on the issues that matter, immigration, border security, jobs, trade and nation security is far more conservative then Ted Cruz. Trump has driven "me too" Ted to the right on issue after issue.
Cruz has always been an insider. Now he is running to his fellow senators like OJ found his Blackness when he got in trouble.
yep. at some point very soon, one of cruz’s qualifications over trump will be that he has more experience in government, and that he can move the levers more effectively should he wind up in office.
that’s going to freak some people out, but it’s absolutely going to happen very soon.
Can’t be any worse than this...

Jeb Bush was the bag man for the Sea Island stop Trump CONfab. It’s there I believe the scheme was hatched between the ruling republican elites and leftists present to set up the massive protests ar Trump rallies.
As mentioned, Bush was the bagman who delivered the results and plan to the 3 stooges the day of the last debate.
Their plan failed, Trumps numbers actually went up.
Yesterday Boehner indorsed Paul Ryan to take the nomination at the convention.
Hopefully we conservative can drive the wooden stake deep into the heart of this corrupt criminal infested republican party.
“We gonna win, yea we’re taking over”
