The Missouri Senate has passed a proposal creating religious protections for those objecting to gay marriage. The Republican-led Senate voted 23-7 Thursday for the proposed constitutional amendment after this week halting a Democratic filibuster that lasted 37 hours. The measure would prohibit government penalties against those who cite religious beliefs while declining to provide wedding-related services to same-sex couples. The religious protections would apply to clergy, religious organizations and some businesses such as florists and photographers. Senate Democrats criticized the proposal as discriminatory against same-sex couples.

Those Democrats basically were saying it was okay for mussies to discriminate based on their pseudo religion but not for Christians to discriminate.
What's with the SOME businesses?
The measure would prohibit government penalties against those who cite religious beliefs while declining to provide wedding-related services to same-sex couples. The religious protections would apply to clergy, religious organizations and some businesses such as florists and photographers.
But the mussies didn’t need any law to protect their bias. They could do it and nothing mentioned about it.
Democrat governor NIXON will veto.
Veto in 3..2..1..
Override in 3..2..1..
Nixon may still have dreams of a VP slot.
Hopefully those events will shrink in America
I had an experience aboiut 20 years ago in the small town in Montana where my wife and I and our five kids lived at the time.
We owned and operated a small business where we did printing and also office supply for that small town and the surrounding ranches.
One day the owner of a local photography business came in and asked me if I could print up some posters for her.
I said sure, but I would need to see them first and determine what she wanted...how big the posters would be. Whther they were in color, gray shades, or black and white. What type of material. Etc.
She had them in a folder and we went back to the print area and she showed them to me.
They were a bunch of filthy, lesbian sex photos. I immediately put her pictures back in her folder, gave them to her, and told her that our shop would not be printing the posters.
She said that they were for her private collection and would not be displayed. I said it did not matter, that I would not print them.
She asked if I was open to the public and I said yes. She then told me I would be required by law to print them for her.
I took her to our front desk and showed her the sign over the main counter that said, “We reserve the roight to refuse service to anyone at any time for any reason,” which then cited the code for saying so.
She got angry and told me that the law did not apply to public services that I offered and that she would take me to court and force me to print her pictures.
I told her:
“Listen so-and-so, I WILL NOT PRINT THOS EPICTURES. First of all I believe you will lose your court case. But if you somehow found a pantywaist judge to rule in your favor, I would burn my store down, with the printer and all my equipment, before I would print those pictures. Maybe you could get your pantywaist judge to send me to jail...but I still would not print those pictures. Now, you are no longer welcome here and you’d best take your filthy little back side out of my shop before I call the seriff and have yo arrested for tress-pass.”
I had raised my voice at that last and several customers and my wife turned to look at me.
The lady left in a huff...and I never heard from her again.
My other customers, on hearing what happened, applauded it.
Not too sure. The mussies will have the advantage all the time whereas Christians and Jews will have to continually defend themselves in court.
Common folk are losing their (our) fear of pissing the government off and fighting back
Is there objection from major corporations and business leaders etc. etc. to this legislation.
There was last year in Arkansas and Indiana when religious freedom legislation moved and the Republican governors (Mike Pence of IN and Asa Hutchinson of AR) backed away.
Does the legislation got any teeth in it or is watered down but still enough to trigger the Nixon veto and create a false emotional issue?
Real religious freedom legislation with teeth in it was shot down in Arizona back in 2014 (Mitt Romney tweeted against it, John McCain objected, then GOP Governor Jan Brewer vetoed it).
Why no noise here in opposition? Is this fake feel good legislation?
Stay tuned. When the business leaders like Tim Cook of Apple, the professional and college sports organizations, Doug McMillon of Wal-Mart raise their objections, I’ll believe this is serious legislation.
So far I don’t see that.
The gov’t is too diverse to fight it on an individual basis. They’re basically a non-entity.
Whatever anyone may personally think Of Donald trump, one thing is certain;
NONE of us have ever seen an election year like THIS one and though in the past we said "this election is the most important" ... like prophecy ... a lot of blocks are falling into place for major upheaval
Scalia died, not Ruth and no one saw THAT coming
Now, a president doesn't have to resort to chicanery to get one OFF .... but to get one ON.
I wish I was younger backande had my health n
Wow, kudos to you!
I can relate. I turned away a sicko wanted NAMBLA merchandise made up. I was ready to kick his ass.

Are SOME animals more equal than others?
When will we learn that the homoNazis are, above all else, bullies and need to be roughly treated as such? They are constantly looking for the slightest softening so that they know they can pounce and eventually get what they want from you.
Bullies want nothing to do with those who will fight back, as you did. But when we become "sweet" and accommodating, offering names of other businesses that would be glad to help, or offer to provide other services for them, they sense this weakness and double down on their nastiness.
<>Democrat governor NIXON will veto.<>
As per the column, the measure will appear as a constitutional amendment for the voters to decide.
