Ted Cruz (R-Texas)won the Guam caucus on Saturday, defeating his rivals Donald Trump, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Ohio Gov. John Kasich.
During the caucus hosted in Tumon, about 350 members selected the partys delegates to attend the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, this summer.
The Republican Party of Guam will have nine delegates, as well as six alternatives.
Guam is an American territory located in the northwestern Pacific Ocean. It has a population of more than 170,000 people. Like citizens of American Samoa, Guam citizens cannot vote in the general presidential election in November.
On Wednesday, GOP front-runner Donald Trump released a statement asking for Guams votes and pledged increased attention to territorial issues.

Oh man. That brings back memories of the fair. I gre up in Whitehall near Allentown. Good times!
“Cruz wins are all in Caucus states, with low turnouts, and voters subjected to hours of coercion. He has lost all regular primaries except his home state and its neighbor.”
The Texas vote should be put in context:

And that was before he went full retarTED.
Stop being a tease! What’s it like? Inquiring minds want to know.
Sheila Jackson-Lee?
Cruz could do well in many western states including CA, OR and WA.
While the Trump act is entertaining to watch, he is still attacking Jeb on the campaign trail.
Rubio and Kaisch could end up with substantial delegates that would be encouraged to back Cruz after the first ballot.
With Trump now attacking Kaisch and Rubio this is a very real outcome.
What’s scary is a bunch of LIV’s elected Hank because they thought he was a smart guy.
correct
Had you seen him actually saying it, you’d likely not think Johnson’s comment was a ‘joke’. He’s one of the Congressmen in my state, and he is a joke.
All this ‘joke’ stuff came afterwards by his staff trying to do damage control.
That is pretty small. What are the chances it will tip over? ;)
I must say that the natives are a lot more friendly than those in Hawaii, who only seem interested in getting as much of your money as possible by doing as little as possible. Even the maid assigned to our room was extra sweet, so much so that she ended up inviting us to church and we even ended up attending the service with her.
A lot of the beaches were closed that week due to an infestation of jelly fish. The locals were very nice about directing us to either the few beaches which were open and safe or the public pools, which were well maintained.
Surely this is a tipping point.
Why are there delegates from the territories?
In 1974 I became friends with nun from Guam. I’d get he goat by calling her fellow citizens Guamaniacs. She said she’d send me to Hell.

Don’t you think it is not your island but the idiot congressman that is the joke. It is so scary that people that dumb vote much less are elected. If we don’t laugh we will cry.
Amazing how important 1 delegate is to the loser!
Thanks
The people citing congressman Johnson never mention him. They are simply repeating what he said as a joke.
I am sorry but how would you feel if every time, and I mean every time, every single time with no exception the place you lived was referred to with a derogatory joke?
I bet you’d get tired of it too.
Guam is a good place to live, like the US 40 years ago, patriotic, generally God fearing with low crime and inhabited by pleasant people. It deserves better than to be made fun of.
I merely meant no one meant to offend. I can’t tell you the times NC is laughed at as toothless yokels you can’tspeak. Wish people had never learned how wonderful it is and moved their liberal butts here. Now I may move to Guam with your description. Keep your secret.
Ted Cruz won big big in Oklahoma despite being 11 points behind in the polls. Oklahoma is a primary not a caucus.
