After the GOP Debate ended, Drudge Report opened up its polls to get the consensus on who people think won the 12th Republican Debate. However, it has been reported that the poll was hacked and the numbers on Senator Ted Cruz were just generated by a bot.
The complaint was first submitted on Reddit, where a user posted a screenshot photo of the alleged incident. The photo showed a filtered result for users in Delaware. The report allegedly had more than 44,000 users in favor of Ted Cruz, while only 140 users voted for Donald Trump. Overall, 99.65 percent users supposedly voted for Ted Cruz.
When the error was found, Drudge Report reportedly paused the polls. With the new numbers up on the site, it appears that they have solved the issue. The current polls have almost 134,000 votes for Donald Trump and about 43,000 votes for Ted Cruz. Since the numbers for Ted Cruz appeared to be very similar to the hacked statistics, it is possible that they were not able to remove the hackers bot votes.

If Trump can win this nomination, not to mention this Presidential election, it will be somewhat of a miracle. The man has more forces against him, both national and international, than any candidate I’ve ever seen, even Reagan.
I just pray that someone doesn’t think that stopping him is worth having him assassinated. Prayers up for Donald Trump’s safety, whether he wins or loses. He left a safe, opulent, carefree life for the benefit of America and her people much like our patriots of yesteryear. That makes him a hero in my book.
Looking at Drudge, hugh & series FAIL.
They call Trump that over at The Right Scoop.
After this debate, the had him in their poll as Donal Duck.
I would look there for the culprit.
Oh have you seen the latest Drudge Headline?
Agree 100% !! He is presenting an incredible gift to the nation, an opportunity to get away from politics as usual. It's up to the nation to recognize it. I think what he's doing is more, much more than the patriots of earlier times. Back then, patriotism was revered. Now it's a threat to what our government has become.
I don’t see the issue; Trump supporters do this all the time.
“Drudge Report reportedly paused the polls.”
That answers the question of why the votes weren’t being accepted when I tried to place mine.
Wow...he does look like Mr. Haney. And is dirty as Arnold no doubt.
Yup. The (bad) character of their “leader” trickles down to all of ‘em.
Cruz really does believe that he’s been “anointed” as one of the kings — a “change agent” — in his religion. Maybe they believe that the end justifies the means, the “end” being him achieving his divinely appointed status. It’s just ikky.
trump supporters overlook their candidates history of liberalism...
if trump misses by a few, I see him teaming with a gope VP
and then impeachment to follow
We’ve had some characters here
Eschoir and clarity come to mind
I wonder why they need to fake it. HA!
Someday, when FR returns to its collective right mind, we will have correct the record on what Cruz did...verses his supporters.
I don’t blame DT for his supporters throwing punches or even his security staff.
I don’t get having to propagate lies about about Ted Cruz to feel better about your candidate of choice. Ted didn’t lie about Ben Carson, a man on his staff repeated a CNN article. But people ran with it, and stuff like this continues to heap on the man who didn’t do the deed.
And I don’t mind the accusations, it is the hypocrisy. If Ted is responsible for everything that anyone working for him does, or does in his name, then lets go down that road for every candidate. Ted will easily come out on top.
If Ted is responsible for everything that anyone working for him does
Well, see, that’s the thing. After Iowa, there was no accountability within the campaign. And that wasn’t an accident, it was by design. Ted Cruz hired a campaign manager that will break out every dirty trick in the playbook.
Most valid criticism I’ve seen of Cruz doesn’t suggest that Cruz himself is running around spreading false stories. It’s the person (Jeff Roe) and organization (Axiom Strategies) that will scrape the very bottom of any barrel that has turned people off.
But I agree with you. Maybe when it’s all over, people will take an honest stock of what went wrong with Ted’s campaign. Hopefully the next time he runs for office, he’ll select better campaign leadership, and his TrusTED mantra will actually mean something.
That is my disconnect. I still don't think that they did anything wrong with the CNN story on Ben Carson. CNN put the rumor/innuendo out there, and they got more mileage from it than they could have dreamed. Conservatives turned on the most conservative candidate - better than CNN could have hoped for. Since then, it has snowballed. A guy hacks a poll, and it is more piling on for Ted Cruz. Again, he did nothing wrong, but the meme persists - Ted lies, can't be trusted, slimy...you see it all the time. And it has no truth behind it. If you tell a lie often enough, it becomes the truth. I finally understand it, but I didn't think it would impact my circle of FRiends like it has. Sad.
Apparently PT Trump’s lemmings are used to getting their booster shots from faked up online polls.
“Cruz never cheats, ask Carson, Rubio”
Were those the two campaigns where CNN announced it, the Cruz campaign picked it up and reported it and everyone forgot it came from CNN first?
Just checking.
Yep. They all act shocked when it comes to cruzbots, but trumpbots have been doing it all along and paulbots did years ago as well.
As a Trump supporter, I haven’t overlooked any comment relating to liberalism and Mr. Trump. He has addressed the issue in past and present to my satisfaction. I understand why he hobnobbed with liberals and gave them money etc., I understand his comments about planned parenthood, which he says he would DEFUND due to the abortion practices. Is the man allowed to point out good things in a group conservatives despise?
This attempt to shuffle all Trump supporters into tight categories only blinds those individuals.
