Jeb Bush To Meet With Cruz, Kasich And Rubio Before Thursday's Debate
cbsnews.com ^ | March 9

Posted on 03/10/2016 4:34:47 PM PST by Helicondelta

It's unclear why Bush is meeting with the three contenders, but the fact that he's not meeting with Trump signals he is trying to strengthen any efforts that could bring down the GOP frontrunner.

The former governor, who dropped out of the race after South Carolina's primary last month, hasn't indicated whether he would formally endorse any of his former rivals before the critical winner-take-all primary in Florida next Tuesday.

Talk radio has been pretending that Cruz is hated because he’ll shake things up for months now. Truth seems far from it to me. He’s no longer in a position to shake things up because he need them more than they need him. Trump is the outsider, he’s the non-lawyer. He’s the non-politician. He’s the one who is different; it’s obvious to anyone paying any attention at all. Everyone keeps saying “The insurgency candidates have x percent”. That’s not the case. Trump is the only insurgent candidate left. Trump, Carson and you could have made a case for Fiornia. The rest have all taken the same paths

MAYBE the Cruzers on FR will FINALLY drop this constant, never-ending LIE of “Cruz is an outsider,” “Cruz isn’t establishment,” yadayada...What baloney.

“For Heaven’s sake, why?”

Another of many strategies to go after Trump? I am tired of all these debates. All Trump needs is to hold his own.

“Mr. 4% is now a power broker. Who da thunk it.. Pray for us all!”

I think it is the Bush connections to the big donors.

Even if you say that Trump isn’t ‘pure’. His policies aren’t so out there that it warrants this much animosity from the so called elites. The question then is WHY. WHAT is different about Trump? Is it really because he wants to build a wall or is it because he wants to change all of the garbage trade deals? Maybe it’s that he has his own money and can make his own decisions and think for himself or maybe it’s because they don’t have compromising pictures of him. WHAT is the reason for this? The fact that both political parties and most of the MSM are after blood with Trump is reason enough to support him at this point.

That’s what they want Trump to do

Take his toys and leave in a huff

Be driven out of the party so they can choose a replacement candidate

Nah Trump needs to go all in on saving the GOP by being a uniter and drawing new people into the party

If they backstab that, it is on them

[Jeb Bush To Meet With Cruz, Kasich And Rubio...]

What happened to all the GOPer’s cabal that attended that huge meeting on Shutter Island to take trump down?

I’m waiting on pins and needles to hear what strategery they came up with.

That is what is so potentially frightening

What is it they are so desperate to preserve or to hide or both ?

Trump is not in the club and they can’t trust him to go along.... With what???

This situation is starting to read like a Dan Brown novel

I don't get that decision at all.

Whatever you think of Cruz, he's proven to be a much better politician than people have given him credit for, but this is tin-eared in the extreme.

I'm not saying Ted Cruz would have been the nominee, but what benefit does this give him-besides access to potential donors in a losing race?
