Cruz Bypasses Trump In New Attack And Goes Straight After His Voters- ‘Voters Who…’

Sen. Ted Cruz identified Wednesday what he believes is one of the main causes Donald Trump has outperformed in many of the Republican primary contests to date — low-information voters who are not really engaged in the process.

Cruz, who has made a hard play for evangelical voters since launching his candidacy, has been thwarted in the south by Trump, who has carried a surprisingly large percentage of those faith voters.

“If it’s not for evangelicals in the deep South keeping Donald Trump alive, you’re on your way to becoming the nominee. Would you agree with that assessment?” asked CBN’s David Brody.

“Donald has done well in the Southeastern states,” Cruz conceded. “He has had a good base of support. We’ve done well as well. We’ve been typically second in each of those states, and we’ve racked up delegates.”

“Listen, Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice,” the Texas senator added. “Where we are beating him is when voters get more engaged and they get more informed. When they inform themselves, they realize his record. He’s what they’re angry at.”

Yup. I guess my niece and her husband are too dumb to be teaching physics in college.

trumps supporters are no different from the vacuous hordes that drank the hopenchange Kool-Aid

Obama supporters...those who feed at the govt trough, like the woman who said Obama was going to pay off her car loan

Trump supporters...hard working Americans who are looking for someone to 86 the govt red tape so we can grow or start our businesses so to light a fire under our shrinking economy.

I don't know where you were educated at, but if any one is low information...it is you for ignorance of understanding the difference between giving someone a fish and teaching someone how a successful fisherman catches the fish. If anyone is drinking the Kool-aid, it is you.

We have not closed our eyes to social issues just that Food, Clothing and Shelter are more important. Physical security, economic security, retaining basic freedoms. The rest of the social stuff comes after that.

Nice summary of why he can’t beat hillary.

There’s nothing funnier on FR than a Cruzer syaing Trump can’t win. Really. Senator Green Eggs & Ham is going to take VA? TPA Ted is going to win OH? Cruz is going to win FL (a state Obama won twice) after going low-info scorched earth anti-Trump? No chance.

I don’t know who the next POTUS will be but I do know it won’t be Ted Cruz.

The good news is that the GOPe will not give us Cruz. I refuse to vote for him any longer. He was my second choice and actively supported him until SC.

I keep seeing “to meet” with Jeb before tonight’s debate but can’t find anything saying Cruz has actually met with him. Unlike Jeb the candidates are a little busy with just 2 hrs before the debate so they’d better get going.

If you have a credible link, please post it. Thanks.

I see Donald, at best as a moderate on social issues. This will matter when it comes to choosing justices. On my list of what is important, that is at the top. I would be more trustful of Cruz on that issue. Yes he backed Roberts, but at the time we were all thrilled with that choice. 20/20 hindsight is a wonderful thing. When push comes to shove I will hold my nose and vote Trump over Hilary, but I sure wish there was a better option.

Sen. Cruz, R-Alberta did not take the Dale Carnegie course.

Like many lawyers, they were born feeling they would always be the smartest person in any room, and as such let their mouths just run freely.

Cruz can say in 200 words, what should take just 25 words.

And in this instance, screw it up for himself and his prospects.

Sen. Ted Cruz identified Wednesday what he believes is one of the main causes Donald Trump has outperformed in many of the Republican primary contests to date — low-information voters who are not really engaged in the process.

I have been waiting for this type of meaningless assertion for MONTHS. But careful what you wish for, for nothing is ever as simple as ahem... ...as demagoguing attorney lawyers make it seem.

Yes, Cruz is opening Pandora's box, and he may live to regret it.

Let's start with the obvious reality that he, too, must profit from ignorant low information voters...

HELLO??!!??

The other painful reality that has to be faced without flinching is that, yes indeed, well over 50% of the electorate (legal or illegal) is in fact low or no information whatsoever.

Where does that lead? It leads to facing why we allow these people to vote in the first place. The result is both obvious and degenerate. Where did this come from?
The well intentioned argument, totally ignores that not placing some kind of qualifications for both federal public office both elected and appointed, as well for voters.

In a representative Democratic Republic, how could it work otherwise?

Wait; before you allow PC outrage and emotion to force you to lash out, just ponder the following : were social, educational and moral-ethical standards that existed in the mid 18th Century compare even remotely to what's at work today?

Any introspection on that question should take weeks or months. Assuming you belong to the percentage of citizens not classified as "no" or "low" information voters.

The fatal combination of ignorance, entitlement, self-centeredness and lack of expected punishment for bad or criminal behavior, makes the original intent of the experiment unworkable, as more than a few of the Founding Fathers stated in word and in writings.

So where do we go from there?

Debating moronic statement like "why is everybody entitled to health care without costs? Because they are human beings!"?

How did that work out in France while out Constitution was being debated?

It was called the "Reign of Terror," and that is precisely the only possible result. Unless the majority of citizens insist on, and fight for it if necessary, to prevent a repetition.

One gift Trump gives to Hillary is to nullify the behavior of her husband.

"We won with poorly educated. I love the poorly educated."

That's a disingenuous quote. I watched that speech. Trump listed all the demographics he won in the election. He listed Hispanics, Blacks, young people, and others. He mentioned "poorly educated", then caught himself, because he didn't want to make it seem he was disparaging their education. So he added the part about loving the poorly educated. It was awkward but unscripted. He was just going through the list of groups he won in the election according to exit polling. Big deal. He wasn't saying he wins because poorly educated people are his only supporters.

But one thing Cruz and his supporters are good at (probably because they are so much smarter than the rest of us) is twisting words.

Wrong. Trump engaged Hillary after her sexism rant and won. Meanwhile, Cruz cut and run. CRUZ nullified that issue when he said BJ Clinton was not part of the election. Trump wins. Cruz loses. Simple.

I support Trump. I have said not one derogatory thing about Cruz or his supporters. I am not low information nor dis engaged. How does this lunatic think he will get elected by insinuating Im stupid? Do tell as I have been, up until now, someone who would consider voting for Cruz.
