Cruz Bypasses Trump In New Attack And Goes Straight After His Voters- ‘Voters Who…’
Sen. Ted Cruz identified Wednesday what he believes is one of the main causes Donald Trump has outperformed in many of the Republican primary contests to date — low-information voters who are not really engaged in the process.
Cruz, who has made a hard play for evangelical voters since launching his candidacy, has been thwarted in the south by Trump, who has carried a surprisingly large percentage of those faith voters.
“If it’s not for evangelicals in the deep South keeping Donald Trump alive, you’re on your way to becoming the nominee. Would you agree with that assessment?” asked CBN’s David Brody.
“Donald has done well in the Southeastern states,” Cruz conceded. “He has had a good base of support. We’ve done well as well. We’ve been typically second in each of those states, and we’ve racked up delegates.”
“Listen, Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice,” the Texas senator added. “Where we are beating him is when voters get more engaged and they get more informed. When they inform themselves, they realize his record. He’s what they’re angry at.”

Ted’s new GOP establishment owners gave him a new script. Worst bonehead mistake he’s made to date.
Trump himself has said multiple times he could shoot someone on 5th Ave and his voters would not leave. Cruz has a long road to get to that level of condescension.
Donald THANKED his low-information voters. They are out there, by the tens of millions. Ask around. I do. You will be shocked to learn how little most people know about the political candidates.
It is the task of each campaign to educate people.

I guess now that the people who are “bitter clingers” to their guns and their Bibles didn’t hand him the South, he figures he has to cozy up to the northeastern states by distancing himself from the people who were traditionally his base.

Bad move by Cruz, but true. Trump people have closed their eyes to social issues. They ignore all of his gift giving to democrats to further his personal business. I wouldn’t say they are low info voters, just covering their ears and saying la-la-la.

I'm not writing him off for ever, but the whole glenbeck, neil bush, TPA mess, along with hidis questionable stance needs to be addressed.
