GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz tells The Brody File that the reason Donald Trump is performing well in the GOP race for president is because his voters are uninformed and not engaged in the process. Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice. Where we are beating him is when voters get more engaged and they get more informed. Hunch: Im thinking Trump and his Silent Majority may push back on this just a bit dont you think? Lots to unpack here but for now, heres the clip.
Our interview was done Wednesday afternoon in Miami.

Perfect description! Thanks.
I don’t think this is a good move.
If Ted would recognize that Trump supporters are simply fed up with and ready to go to war over the destruction of our country and culture,
he could garner a lot of support out of that camp.
Smartest man in the world not so smart. Let’s see the Cruzers massage this one.
This is Obama’s “bitter clinger” and Romney’s “47%.”
Good job, Ted.
That’s a really awesome way to win people to your side, Mr Cruz. Good luck with that. /s
Don’t think so.
If Cruz by some miracle becomes the nominee - he’ll be forced to pick Trump as VP because of Trump’s massive support and delegates. He’d be fool otherwise.
If Trump says no - then he’ll have to explain why he’s screwing America and allowing Hillary to win. If Trump does that, he’ll loose the good will he’s created.
Prediction: Cruz would offer VP to Trump and Trump would accept.
Cruz’s odds on becoming the nominee are nil unless both Kasich and Rubio drop out, and soon.
No the problem is you are so emotionally invested in a certain candidate you automatically assume anyone who does not agree with you is “wrong”.
The fact that you cannot make a case for your candidate but instead spend your time insulting everyone who does not automaticallm agree with you indicates you are not thinking but emoting.
Rational people can disagree, emotional people attack others for not agreeing with them
“Bill Clinton comes to mind first and foremost”
Al Gore also lied when “he didn’t have to” — all the time. But Cruz makes Clinton and Gore look like pikers when it comes to the lying game.
A Cruz supporter doing the Tuesday post mortem was going through the exit poll summaries and made the statement that Trump wins among the “under-educated”.
Meaning of course people without a degree. I thought it sounded very Bernie esque... Everyone MUST have a 4 yr degree.
VERY GOOD!
Noticing a pattern with this guy. It’s not that even the reprehensible GOPe has SOME standards, it’s that he’s “principled”. It’s not that intelligent and informed people picked another candidate over him, it’s that they are all uneducated and don’t care to be informed.
Trump himself mentions often his “lowly educated” voters.
If the shoe fits...

Well, there certainly is something wrong with Cruz in the truth department. He is really disliked by his colleagues because of his lying and distortions, not to mention his ruthlessness to burn any temporary ally for political gain...like he did Rubio recently. Cruz is a liar and a coward.
Lol.
The last time some junior Senator who was a Harvard lawyer with a questionable citizenship talked like that we got Obama. Different party, same attitude.
**************************************
The similarities go “way beyond” what you just mentioned here. IMO, he is the Republican version of Obamie.
Trump was only talking about the people who believed the odd story in Ben Carsons book about the “miracle” of Carson’s knife breaking on a belt buckle when he stabbed someone.
...
Axeslinger:
So, he allegedly said the same thing that Trump said about Iowa voters?
And the trumpeters are all pissy about it, now?
Ok, got it.
Hypocrisy much, guys?
...
“Meaning: Cruz is saying that Southerners are stupid.”
And what he didn’t say, but is clearly understood, it that because Southerners are, for the most part, evangelical Christians, he’s insulting Christians, too. It’s sour grapes; he thought he’d have them hook, line, and sinker. And he was wrong.
What he didn’t count on was that evangelicals have a deeply fundamental grasp of the Bible — going to church five times a week will do that — and can spot a phony.
Well he tells it like it is. Many don’t want to even look at Trumps history or record on any political action.
Nope that would dilute the image of thy Royalty King tRumpf.
As to insulting, who was it that called the Iowa voters Stupid?
Yeah I thought so. Carry on. :)
Trump mentions his support with highly educated, lowly educated, working class, Latinos, Blacks, etc...
Cruz is calling ALL Trump supporters “lowly educated.”
