Queen Elizabeth II opposed the legalization of same-sex marriage in England because of her deeply held Christian values, a close friend has reportedly told a London-based newspaper.
The UK Daily Mail published a story Sunday which claimed that the queen, who is also head of the Church of England, secretly opposed gay marriage but was in favor of civil partnerships. The unnamed "friend" said the monarch was frustrated by the fact that she could only "advise and warn" on the issue.
"It was the 'marriage' thing that she thought was wrong, because marriage ought to be sacrosanct between a man and a woman," said the friend, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
The Daily Mail also stated that the reported revelation of her views on the definition of marriage was part of an overall series of stories about the queen as she nears her 90th birthday.
Liberal propaganda, that is. Fear allows the liberals to march their agenda roughshod over civil society. Look at the state of Britain today.
Amen.
“Especially with her idiot son and his global warming decrees.”
I thanked her here for this yesterday : )
A beautiful woman in every way. And it still the lot falls to her that she must witness the final victory of the filthy Saracens.
We can only hope the queen outlives the insufferable toff.
God Save the Queen...save us from that Nitwit son you and Prince Philip birthed perhaps I pray you have the prophetic knowledge to pass over him down to Prince William who has married the pretty Kate instead of that horse Charles married after the beloved Diana died.

Guess she’ll now be banned from visiting the US because she’s a bigot. /sarc
At least they’re not doing gay marriage, only sex, which they deny./s or jab at Islam. You decide.
Gotta love the Queen!
She’s not only the Queen of England (or Great Britain even) — she’s the Queen of all 16 nations in the Commonwealth Realm (that includes Canada, and Australia). She, or her representatives (various Governors General or Lieutenant Governors General) give assent to all legislation passed by every nation, province, or territory in the Realm.
If she were to refuse assent on a Bill that had wide popular support (usually gaged by the fact that it was duly passed in Parliament), it would likely mean the end of her reign — at least within the particular dominion, whose legislation was affected.
The constitutions (both written and unwritten) of the Commonwealth Countries have evolved to be quite different from that of the USA. (For that matter, even your written constitution has evolved substantially over the years.) The reigning Monarch simply does not have near the powers of the “ruling” U.S. President. The U.S. President is both Head of State, and Head of Government; while the Queen is just Head of State, and various Prime Ministers are Heads of their respective Governments.
Americans fought a Revolution (in part) against the British Monarch of the day — it’s a bit ironic to see Americans on this forum demanding that the current Monarch be more dictatorial.
The monarch is a figurehead. They (thankfully) have no actual power. Laws are made and passed by Parliament, on behalf of the public who elected them. Unlike the unelected monarch.
Its good that we have an impartial person like the monarch, but they cannot be allowed to get involved in politics.
Not a royalist nor republican, but the RF actually make more money for us than take.
No, he isn’t.
It isn’t. We have not and cannot allow the monarch to have power over the elected parliament. The monarch must remain an impartial figurehead.
We have already fought one bloody civil war over this.
1-—Charles is no nitwit. But an intelligent and passionate man (and a personal friend of one Freeper). Oh and he isn’t Muslim or a Muslim groupie.
2—The rule of succession must take its course.
LOL, a bit like some pro-lifers.
Who want as limited govt as possible, except where this one issue comes in, and then they want as much govt interference as possible to eliminate the right to choose.
Well, those that are all for the destruction of the UK are just fine with it.
Not that the queen agrees with it judging by her approval of so-called civil partnerships, but something must be done by someone. A civil war is coming thanks to the left-wing policies.
Building up to an opus?
