Huffington Post reporter Ryan Grim told CNNs Brooke Baldwin on Tuesday that something like 54 private jets had arrived at an elite meeting of tech CEOs, GOP party insiders and big donors set on stopping Donald Trump before he wins the Republican nomination.
Grim broke the story (link: ):
Billionaires, tech CEOs and top members of the Republican establishment flew to a private island resort off the coast of Georgia this weekend for the American Enterprise Institutes annual World Forum, according to sources familiar with the secretive gathering.
The main topic at the closed-to-the-press confab? How to stop Republican front-runner Donald Trump.

1% of 1% of !% of 1% of 1% and on and on.
Where are pictures of the airplanes and tail numbers?
I did a google and there are none that show up.
Was surprised to see Tom Cotton there. I thought he was a pretty stand-up guy, although they may be trying to bring him over to the elitist side. He’s pretty fresh, so may be swayed. Hope not.
Q. What do you call 54 private jets sitting on the runway at a private meeting on Jekyll Island?
A. A Prime Target.
(little joke I heard years ago in rural Michigan from guys who liked to wear camo and hold Blue Helmet Shoots)
If Trump can’t win the general election (so say the establishment) and SWMNBN would preserve the status quo, why is the establishment working so hard to beat Trump?
Seems to me that, if thy really want the status quo, let Trump loose and lose the general election. The establishment can’t govern, anyway.
How can the GOP establishment stop Trump? Too late, you created him with your lies, double talk and back stabbing in Washington and in state capitols. This is a peaceful revolution that will not stay peaceful if the will of the people is not listened to and acted on. Beware.
Agreed. The peaceful part may end in the streets of Cleveland if they try and call an audible at the line of scrimmage on Rule 40.
You fly into JAX or Savannah. 90 minute drive.
Trump should have dropped in in his 757.
Copy that. I don’t like second hand reports on a report...
“Sources familiar with the meeting — who requested anonymity because the forum is off the record — said that much of the conversation around Trump centered on “how this happened, rather than how are we going to stop him,” as one person put it.”
I think they have to regroup because he very well could get the nomination. I like Rove about as much as I would like to touch him to throw him. (puke)
Comments at source are always enlightening.
One: “Jets” don’t vote.
Fifty-four billionaires only have 54 VOTES.
The Fifty-four janitors in the airport have the EXACT same number of votes.
Eff ‘em and the liberal butt kissers who fawn over them and write these types of reports.
That wasn’t “Jeckyl Island”, was it?
Republican pundit Bill Kristol and former George W. Bush strategist Karl Rove were there
Apple CEO Tim Cook, Google co-founder Larry Page, Napster creator and Facebook investor Sean Parker, and Tesla Motors and SpaceX honcho Elon Musk all attended.
So did:
Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) Senate Majority Leader
Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) Speaker of the House
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR)
Sen. Cory Gardner (R-CO)
Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC)
Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH)
Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb)
Those are your commercial options. As for bizjets, in the winter 5500 feet on a dry surface is normally sufficient for a hop to/from the northeast. I was there a year ago. Decent ramp space for a small general aviation airport.
Where’s a U-Boat when you need one?
Glynco Airport? Yeah, I was just addressing the commercial question.
I saw the Blue Angels there 20 years ago or so. Awesome venue for that, not very crowded.
The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) is a couple miles away. Adds to the security aspect for all the high-rollers.
The G8 Summit was held at The Cloister a few years ago. Good geography for security and not very hospitable to OWS-type protestors were among the plus points for the venue, I’m sure.
Someone tell SwordMaker his butt-buddy, Tim Cook, was part of this cabal.
Thanks for your post.
Want to make sure we get all their names spelled correctly when assigning lampposts.
A collection of One Worlders. The Illuminati.
They must be grooming that turd for future NWO use.
