Donald Trump received some serious free air time for a number of his products during his news conference following Tuesday’s primary victories in Mississippi and Michigan.
The extended bit promoting all of his products came while he was criticizing the speech Mitt Romney gave last week, where Romney talked about all of Trump’s failed companies.
“We have Trump Steaks,” Trump said. “By the way, if you want to take one, we’ll charge you about $50 a steak.”
In fact, Trump had everything set up prior to even taking the stage.

When I went to college, computers were just starting out. The College bought an IBM 1620 with 20,000 seven bit characters of core memory, a full electronic adder, and table-lookup multiplication! I was one of the first programmers and was eventually hired to complete the student billing and class scheduling programs. I held them up for $3.00/hr when the student wage was $1.25. The Business Manager said I was the only student who graduated showing a profit. So I appreciate Donald J. Trump. :-)

Romney played a cowardly rope-a-dope for Candy Crowley, maybe enabling Obama’s second term. What rage he must feel watching Trump come out swinging against all comers.
Whatever the future holds, Trump is awakening the self-respect of Americans from a concussive coma. For sixty years, the elites have been safely bunkered in narcissistic delusions while the majority of Americans have been bombarded with the big lies about being racists with no right to defend their country.
Trump probably carries it as an in-house brand for his vast holdings...
He mentioned that set up with his water... quality products but in-house.
I am not saying $50 uncooked. Are you telling me that prime aged 2 inch thick cowboy ribeye about 2 inches thick cooked perfect medium rare edge to edge with a perfect sear would not be worth 5 saw bucks a piece on New Years Eve. Yes, it has been good for Mrs. Submariner and me as well. We had good jobs in the Military/Industrial Complex, although it was a little hard on us when we “won” the Cold War. But a lot of folks lost their jobs to NAFTA, and Free Trade with China, and could barely afford the cheap stuff at Walmart.
Now we have towns where Walmart came in a wiped out the mom and pop stores, which was OK until recently when Walmart started to close it “marginal” stores.

No but sourcing products to your business from another business you own is good business. It reduces your cost by eliminating the middle man.
I don’t think he he ever really planned on selling many of the steaks. I think they were a marketing tool. If you are aware that Trump steaks cost $50 a pound retail and see “Trump Steaks” cooked in the casino, hotel, strip club restaurant for $49.95 then you think “Ah, a discount! I wonder if they are as good as the adverts claim they are?” The whole purpose of the retail outfit was probably to drive sales in hotel an casino dinning venues

First, I am not saying Trump will rely on free advertising in the general election. Second, the press will not be able to focus on Hillary. Hillary can only run as an abstract idea. Once you start seeing her, and hearing her voice, she becomes America’s ex wife.

Yes, it is called vertical integration of product lines. And, I have no doubt that it would be funny if it was how many properties you and your family and your neighborhoods families owned. With Trump that is substantial. Like I said these companies that provide other products to his properties employ people, pay taxes, bring economic stimulus. So, you are supposed to be conservative...what is wrong with that?
And even a smaller amount of Republicans want your candidate...you have just been blinded by those who have been manipulating us for some time. Trump is breaking the mold on that and he is bringing in millions of new voters. He will win in a landslide against any democrat that is his opposition. There is not a democrat alive who could beat him.

Well I doubt that John is a tool in general, but he is being used as one by the establishment he trusts.

Selling products from one company you own to another company you own that must buy those products anyway, is a moneymaking enterprise.
