It's also a good way to screw over your business partners in one of your enterprises. We know Trump doesn't own the Hotels by himself, he has partners.
Note: This is a hypothetical, but I would bet he works it like this.
He creates a trump water company, buys the bottled water (from the same producer that provides store brand water to Wal-mart) at .15 a bottle. Has the producer slap on a Trump water company sticker on it, and sells it to his hotel at a dollar a bottle. He makes .85 pure profit per bottle there is no reason for a middleman. The hotel loses .85 per bottle. Same with the steaks. If he actually bought the bottler or the cattle it would be a different story, but I'm betting he doesn't.

There isn’t 60+% against Trump in the Republican party. I suspect it will be less than 5% after he wins the nomination and he will carry about 20% of the democrats so will win by a landslide in the general election.
