An FBI agent is suspected of lying about firing twice at Robert "LaVoy" Finicum and may have gotten help from four other FBI agents in covering up afterward, authorities revealed Tuesday.
The bullets didn't hit Finicum and didn't contribute to his death, but now all five unnamed agents, part of an elite national unit, are under criminal investigation by the U.S. Justice Department. Inspector General Michael Horowitz is leading the independent inquiry.
The remarkable disclosure came as a team of local investigators released findings that two state troopers shot Finicum three times in the back during the chaotic scene at a police roadblock Jan. 26. One bullet pierced his heart, an autopsy showed.
A prosecutor ruled the fatal shooting was legally justified, saying state law allows use of deadly force when officers believe a person is about to seriously injure or kill someone. Finicum kept moving his hands toward a pocket that contained a loaded handgun. Although he was shot from behind, Finicum had a trooper in front of him armed with a Taser who was thought to be in danger.

One thing is for sure. They no longer fear us. We have tyranny.
According to the police Finicum had a Ruger 9mm in his left interior coat pocket.

Nice to know the videos are no longer available and I should check back later for updates.
I was treated to a couple of videos though. One about how Kung Fu Panda was made and the other about some dude who is an amazing dog trainer, both videos are by Chase....
NO ONE got into trouble.
One cop was in front of him and one behind. Finicum was know to carry a firearm at all times so it was no stretch to assume he was carrying one when police stopped him.
Why did they not tase him immediately upon exit? He was standing still with his hands straight up.
Police ordered him down on the ground when he left his car and he refused. Things escalated from there.
They shot his wife in the HEAD as she held her baby.
They were threatening NO ONE.
That is really something.
I know a cop who says it stands for F*cking Bunch of Idiots.
There were others inside.
One can only conclude what they were trying to do...
From what I’ve read, he was not armed. Shot in the back. I think he was simply executed.
Respect the State’s authority or they will kill you. That’s the message, one the world has heard many times before.
The only thing that stuns me is there might be an investigation of the thugcops involved. However, I suspect this is a fake investigation to provide cover (e.g., an excuse to withhold disclosure of some videos and other evidence).
Hands up, I don’t give a _ _ _ _ if you shoot would be a perfect description of this. They shot before he had a chance to surrender. It was an execution plain and simple.

You really want to post that justification here? Really? Is that you Ron?
Police have justified killing people for less. Or haven't you been watching the news lately?
Odd, but that is my assessment of most all LEOs I've ever encountered.
At the first stop.
There were a number of freepers who claimed there were no shots fired at the first stop.
YES, I specially recall ONE “senior” FReeper saying that. And those of us not taking the bait were scolded here, among them ME !!!
After prodding, they "identified" themselves as "Oregon state police".
I don't know about you, but MY state police are INSTANTLY identifiable...
Yeah, I got a post pulled... :)
R.I.P., sigh. I’ll have a hard time going to sleep tonight !!!
