Thanks for the ping. What an amazing thread. I’ve read up to post 150, and have yet to identify one negative comment from any of the better known Cruz supporters. Rather, every single one is defending the Cruz/Bush liaison.

Honestly, it looks like a religion now. If not even one prominent Cruz supporter has the slightest reservation about their candidate teaming with the Bushes, what else would you call it? Iow, joining hands with the Bushes now = consistent conservatism.

These Cruz supporters love to accuse Trump supporters of worshipping our candidate. I’ve long believed that was projection. Today proved it.

Here’s an honest reply. Do I like this association with the Bushes? No. Does it mean that Cruz has sold out to “the establishment?” I don’t think so. Do I think “the establishment” will do everything they can, including backing the lesser of their two evils to stop Trump? Absolutely. Do I still think Cruz is the consistent conservative in the race? Yep. Do I think Trump will get inhialated in the general if he’s the nominee? Hell yes.
