Sponsored by the Council on Foreign Relations in association with the Canadian Council of Chief Executives and the Consejo Mexicano de Asuntos Internacionales.
North America is vulnerable on several fronts: the region faces terrorist and criminal security threats, increased economic competition from abroad, and uneven economic development at home. In response to these challenges, a trinational, Independent Task Force on the Future of North America has developed a roadmap to promote North American security and advance the well-being of citizens of all three countries.
When the leaders of Canada, Mexico, and the United States met in Texas recently they underscored the deep ties and shared principles of the three countries. The Council-sponsored Task Force applauds the announced Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, but proposes a more ambitious vision of a new community by 2010 and specific recommendations on how to achieve it.

Task Force Report No. 53
Task Force Members:
HEIDI S. CRUZ is an energy investment banker with Merrill Lynch in Houston, Texas. She served in the Bush White House under Dr. Condoleezza Rice as the Economic Director for the Western Hemisphere at the National Security Council, as the Director of the Latin America Office at the U.S. Treasury Department, and as Special Assistant to Ambassador Robert B. Zoellick, U.S. Trade Representative. Prior to government service, Ms. Cruz was an investment banker with J.P. Morgan in New York City.
Yep, more nonsense. Cruz is a free trader and a globalist and Trump’s in bed with the mafia and secretly supports Hillary Clinton - “Nuff said” /s/
“...if you’re born in the hills of Fiji, you can become a naturalized citizen of the US.”
Sure you can, but that’s beside the point.
If you’re born in Fiji to two Fijian citizen parents, you are fundamentally Fijian, and can’t be anything BUT Fijian. You are a natural born citizen of Fiji, if that’s your circumstance of birth.
On the other hand, if you’re born in America to a Fijian mother and a Chinese father, you are in no way a natural born Fijian citizen. Even if you’ve lived in Fiji for most of your life, and are an elected member of the Fijian government.
Then watch this video. Even if you discount the possibility that Ted and Heidi are part of this group, at least consider the parallels of how the EU was created through treaties and trade agreements, and how the formation of the NAU could be accomplished via the treaties and trade agreements that have been made between the USA, Canada and Mexico since Ronald Reagan was in office.
I don’t think Reagan had any idea of what the globalists would do to his initial trade agreement, but they have and we now find ourselves on the cusp of losing our sovereign nation.

“It is absolutely MIND BOGGLING to me that people ignore this. Or think somehow, Cruz is like Andy Taylor from Mayberry just LOVING him some baseball, the constitution and apple pie.”
And we didn’t find out until after he retired from show business that good ol’ Andy was a dyed in the wool Leftie, just like I never imagined Dick Van Dyke would be a Bernie Sanders supporter.
I guess that’s the hazard of believing you know about people who make their living pretending to be someone else.
It shows that Heidi dissented from the main paper and thus did not remain with that group. This is all rehashed trash from Dewhurst Senate campaign attacks against Cruz over 4 years ago. It's just a different group of idiots pushing that narrative.
Anatomy of a Smear: Heidi Cruz and the "North American Union"
Where is the dissent?
The first line of her reponse indicates she supports the darned thing.
I read that link.
Who, precisely, is ‘thecommontruth’?
Who funds them?
Thank you. I watched the video since I hadn’t seen it before. As I mentioned in earlier posts, I am a Cruz (#1) and Trump (#2) supporter (there is no #3). I don’t discount anything about any candidate, but do my own independent research in an attempt to validate anything about which I might have some doubts.
I’ve had my questions about a variety of allegations concerning both men and I’ve done a LOT of research into what I consider to be the most significant of those allegations, one of which was the relationship between Heidi (and Ted?) Cruz and the CFR. For the record, I do not deny that there are globalist forces at work throughout the world, that they are responsible for creation of the EU and for the bastardization of a lot of so-called free trade agreements.
To address your specific comments and the initial statement by the commentator in the video, Heidi Cruz was a member of Task Force 53; I’ve never denied that fact. One of the commentator’s original statements, as he read a comment from “prepsetcetera” was: “...her (Heidi Cruz’s) ‘work’ on the independent task force that wrote “Building a North American Community” (BaNAC).
What the commentator fails to explain in his entire expose on the CFR, Heidi and, most especially, Ted Cruz, is what Heidi’s ‘work’ actually entailed. As I explained earlier, she was responsible for some of the economic research for the task force and didn’t author a single word of the report. He also fails to note that she authored a dissenting opinion after the report was published.
As I also mentioned in an earlier post, I know one of the other members of Task Force 53. That man is a PhD from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, a frequent and rotating member of the NSC staff and definitely not a friend, but an acquaintance with whom I have almost nothing in common - including political views. He made it abundantly clear to me that Mrs. Cruz’s dissenting opinion on the BaNAC report was not well received at all.
I don’t know how closely you follow the Christian Video Channel, but I classify them in the same category as Alex Jones’ Infowars. They published a video that, in its original form, alleged that Obama is the Antichrist. While I despise the man, he absolutely does not fit the biblical description of the Antichrist.
The author is more of a Ron/Rand Paul supporter and is familiar with a lot of the conspiracies that come out of the libertarian crowd. He did support Cruz in his Senate campaign.
Here is what I meant by dissent:
Admittedly, there are plenty of bad ideas in the report. Its full of proposals for government managed trade and incentive programs and inter-governmental cooperation for regulation and security. Its all stuff which makes sense if you think government is the way to solve problems, but not something which would resonate with true conservatives. Yet the big irony here is that it appears that Heidi Cruz doesnt even agree with those aspects of the report for which she is being blamed.
It was a joke.
The common truth is the name of the website the article is on.

See, thecommontruth.net
Who are they? Who funds that website?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Better the Mafia than the Mexican cartels.
I think you are confused. Maybe you should find the actual person that posted a link to that article and ask them.
She needs to publically disavow her work there. As does Ted.
Nothing good comes of that paper. Nothing.
Trump had to disavow the KKK thing, Heidi should disavow the CFR thing. And for the same reason. Both groups are anti-American.

..thanks for the link Nacho. I believe Reagan wanted to believe the best in people (read his headstone), but that got him in trouble on things like immigration. Thank goodness he didn’t take that approach to communism...
I simply do not believe at this point that there is evidence that Cruz is part of something that is counter to his faith. As a Baptist, he knows that such a movement is certainly not of God. On the contrary, it is a counterfeit of God's coming kingdom. My Bible tells me of an antichrist who will come on the world scene before the Real One returns. This trend toward consolidation and super states is not a Chritian idea.
So if I ever become convinced that Cruz is part of that, I will pour gasoline on my,support for him and ask you for a match...
I also think Cruz is stuffing the ballot box in some s ates
**************
What makes you think that? But then you have to try and get elected some way......

The allowance of open borders to illegals also helps keep labor costs low on the domestic side.
No need for secret societies, endtimes crap, illuminati, or any other such nonsense. It is down to that oldest of investigative questions "who prospers from the act".
Cruz is on the side of the free traders and open borders crowd. Many Christians themselves love that idea - seeing it as fresh sheep for the flock - others buy into the economic ideology. Cruz can be both a good Christian and want these policies. I think they are wrong and hurtful to the nation. 20 years plus of NAFTA has shown it has not created a tide that lifted all boats.
I am fine with Canada and New Mexico giving up their soveriegnty and becoming territories of the United States under OUR constitution.
Then the varying prefectures and states within that territory can individually apply for stateship as proscribed in the U.S. Constitution’s structure.
