And in addition to Trump, Ryan, R-Wis., has also spoken to Senator Ted Cruz, a Republican from Texas, "to explain House Republicans' plan to present a bold conservative policy agenda this year," the speaker's press secretary, AshLee Strong, told NBC News Monday.

Speaker Ryan also plans to have similar calls with Republican presidential candidates Florida Senator Marco Rubio and Ohio Governor John Kasich, she said....

I would actually view that as a positive, if Ryan isn’t blowing smoke and giving them false items (a stretch). If there are in fact, some good ideas, I would expect candidates to weave those into their campaigns. But why does that image of Lucy pulling the football away from Charlie Brown come to mind?

They can’t let it go...it helps their agenda with the candidate’s Google searches.

Why do I get the feeling Ryan made the call to Trump and Cruz, and somewhere down the line, we’re going to get full details of any “compromises” in a Rubio campaign ad?

Not really. It is an election year. Time to act like they are conservative.

“The Republican party seems to be completely incapable of shutting this kind of thing down.”

The Dims (with some Soros funding) and the media always push something in each cycle to motivate parts of their base...last time it was “Occupy Wall Street’ and birth control to make Romney and the Pubbies out to be a mean businessman who wanted to take the ‘Pill’ away from women. This meme mobilized the young unemployed and white women voters to Obama!

Leading up to this cycle we see ‘Black Lives Matter’ and now the re-emergence of the ‘Kl Klux Klan’ and Hitler. The MSM meme will be that Trump or Cruz and the Pubbies are racist dictators hellbent on destroying minority lives. Without Obama on the ballot, these images are designed to mobilize Blacks and Latinos to support ‘dat old whitey woman’...the Hildabeast!

F. Chuck Todd, Chrissy Matthews and their ilk will gladly play along!

The word “conservative” and sellout Paul Ryan’s name should not even be in the same sentence.

Our side is singularly obsessed with ideology and has completely forgotten about salesmanship, message, optics, image, and media strategy.

Ryan is a Quisling sell-out member of the DC Uni-Party.

Don’t they need a “bold conservative agenda” to discuss first? They aren’t going to get one from Ryan and McConnell.

Bold Conservative Agenda , eh? Sounds like something out of Chairman’ Maos 5 year plans. (Roll back the agenda of the proletarian Republic and ensure victory to the bourgeoisie?)

Ryan’s only Bold Conservative Agenda is to assure that he gets a nomination of a candidate who will lose the general. Now that Republicans are awake, uncontrollable, Ryan wants to put controls on the new populist Republican movement.

I hope both Cruz and Trump kick Ryan’s arse clear to the top of the Washington Monument.

Good; more of these awful posts against the candidates and fellow FReepers (no matter who they support) need to be pulled. They are beyond the pale.

I notice now that the anti-Trump post in this thread that mkjessup reported (#5, I think) has been removed, as it should have been. The anti-Cruz one I reported last night is still sitting there, vulgar as can be. What about the one you reported...was it ever pulled? I hope so.

Yes, the one thing we should NEVER allow on FR is jokes that go outside the lines of the Groupthink Party Line.

I join everyone in thanking you and the rest of the Ministry of Truth for keeping posts pure.
