(TRUNEWS) Pregnant women may soon be forced to make a difficult decision to abort their babies or giving up their organs after birth.
National Health Service (NHS), the publically funded healthcare system in the U.K. is proposing that women be "supported" to carry the child to term for the sole purpose of harvesting the babys organs. There is currently a shortage of donated organs, according to The Express. The mother could choose not to have their child's organs removed by choosing abortion instead if tests during pregnancy determined the baby may have a birth defect.
In some cases, if the mother has agreed to donation, a "brain dead" baby could be kept alive so their organs are "fresh" when doctors remove them.
The idea was unveiled at a medical conference at the British Transplantation Society in Glasgow, according to the Daily Mirror.
An NHS representative talked to Mail Online and promised women would not be pressured.
A committee has been set up by NHS Blood and Transplant to promote more organ donation from newborns and babies. Doctors wish to harvest the organs of about 100 babies a year, up from 11 in the past two years.
There is a market for baby body parts. Last year in the U.S. it was revealed through a series of undercover videos that Planned Parenthood sold the organs from aborted children to researchers.
NHS to harvest babies' organs: 'Ghoulish' proposal gives mothers pregnant with a damaged foetus an agonising choice - abort the dying child or give birth so body parts can be used for transplants
TruNews.com is a Christian news ministry and enjoys a degree of credibility. Certainly more credibility than most American mainstream news agencies.
Yes, but why would God help us out, if we can’t even elect a godly man to run the White House? The man in the current lead says Planned Parenthood does some wonderful things. But that is not true. An organization that kills some 3,000 babies a day in America [and in the process damages their mothers for a lifetime] can only be defined as evil, as as such, they can do nothing good.
And as a Catholic, I’ll put forth this link. I believe it to be true with all of my heart:

Father John A. Hardon, Mother Teresa of Calcutta, please pray for this nation.
And you are definitely right; we have much to atone for, in regard to all our lost children. Painful.
GRUESOME!!
One small step for man, one giant leap further into hell
The NHS does some rotten things, and web news sites like to run with rumor and call it news. I error on the side that this is BS unless I can find evidence to the contrary. The article quotes no documentation, no sources, no names and references other news outlets but offers no links.
The article stinks and is simply written to get pro-lifers up in arms.
It is simply spreading lies.
I completely agree we need to put every effort into electing those who would help play a role in putting a stop to this. However, Christians/Jews, and all God fearing people, should have long ago put a stop to this.
The excuse of not having someone in authority to put a stop to this, for us, is no excuse.
Proof that nationalized health “care” was started with the goal of taking away birth/life/death decisions from citizens and giving them to the collectivity.
"Speaking of obtaining more organs from newborns, transplant surgeon Niaz Ahmad, of St James's University Hospital in Leeds, said: 'We are looking at rolling it out as a viable source of organ transplantation nationally."
Unfortunately Dr Mengele was not a unique aberration of the medial community. Mengeles abound in the medical profession.
Dr. Joseph Mengele would be proud. He died in the 1970s in Brazil thinking that his work had been a dead end, but now the UK is carrying on his mission.
Absolutely barbaric! It sounds like something out of a dystopian future movie.
Reportedly, the Chinese government EXECUTES dissidents by REMOVING their organs, while they are still alive.
To keep the organs fresh, of course.
I would not be surprised to find that this is what the abortion mills are doing with the "fetuses"; aborting them alive and harvesting the organs while the heart still beats.
Barbaric, to say the least.
The corruption of the best is the worst.
The Muslims will be the scourge of God on their backs. Lord and Giver of Life ---- have Mercy.
Well, they don’t have credibility in my eyes. They chopped up the original article from The Mail and made it sound worse than reality.
I detest being manipulated. And the article is very much trying to tug at our heartstrings by showing a beautiful healthy baby at the top when that is not what the NHS is proposing at all, if anything.
NHS Blood and Transplant said: ‘Under no circumstances would our staff or anybody else within the NHS pressure women to continue with a pregnancy solely for the possibility of organ donation.’
The NHS is speaking specifically of children that will not live beyond a few days outside of the womb. If that is truly the case, then I would liken this to someone on life support who could donate their organs to save lives.
In my perfect world, no one would ever want to have an abortion. That being said there would be babies born that could not live outside the womb. At that point would the parents be allowed to donate the child’s organs to save lives? I dunno. Perhaps that should be illegal as well, because it could lead down a slippery slope.
“...if tests during pregnancy determined the baby may have a birth defect”
I expect the number of “maybes” to increase with the number of organs needed. Are people with defects requiring transplanted organs inherently superior to a newborn or a fetus with a “maybe” or potentially repairable defect?
My darling grandson was born with spina bifida that was not detected in his ultrasounds prior to his birth. Had it been detectable, he could have received in utero surgery that would have greatly improved his condition.
As it was, he had spinal surgery on his first day of life and spent five weeks in neonatal intensive care. There were many beautiful babies there with repairable defects such as club foot, cleft palate, and birth with intestines outside the body. All were loved, they healed, and have had normal lives.
Our grandson has some permanent issues, including impaired mobility, but he has progressed to walking with braces and a walker. He has a sparkling personality, great sense of humor, is an avid reader, and musically inclined.
He has enriched and inspired everyone who has met him or worked with him. The worth of his life is obvious to us. We live in another place we call “new normal” and there we have met many other families we might not otherwise have noticed. All have one thing in common, the belief that we were blessed by God with a special child.
He will since we won’t.
I’m so sorry. The loss of a child is the hardest.
Belgium is there.

Jesus.
Next up, public killings of children for audience amusement.
I do think God is thinking up some exceptionally heinous judgement to visit upon the UK for this. Only a matter of time until it comes to the US (like everything from the UK like pregnancy pacts and other assorted evils) and we get a fresh round of judgements from Heaven.
