Members of the Morning Joe panel got a good laugh today as Al Hunt reported on anguish in establishment GOP ranks. Hunt said that he "was at an event Saturday night with a lot of establishment Republicans and some Rubio people and despair so understates the case. [ Laughter ] I -- really, I've never seen anything like it. There was a lot of heavy drinking" after that.
A bit later, Hunt imagined a scenario in which someone informs Mitch McConnell that they had figured out a way to stop Trump: with Ted Cruz, "at which point Mitch has a nervous breakdown." Again, laughter from the panel.

... overwhelmingly for Donald J. Trump.
You think DT 36% with Cruz at 32% is overwhelming?
Hilliarily probably drank more hard liquor than all of these GOP losers, when she heard that her IT was granted immunity by the Grand Jury looking at her treason with top secret material.
Hunt and his ilk will be downing hard liquor, anti depressants, and their favorite hard drugs when Hill’s indictment is released.
Al Hunt is an ass, but even an ass finds the truth from time to time. I cant imagine that the leadership of the Democrat Party is any more positive or jubilant regarding Hillarys prospects.
As for the Republican insiders: Keep drinking, itll be over soon enough.
I’m sure the Dems are thrilled right now. Regardless of who gets the nom Mitt Romney is on the ballot again. And the GOPe is running a much better GOP voter suppression operation than the Dems could have ever pulled off.
I agree. I think that’s why Bush picked Cheney.
I didn't see Joe Scarborough on the set. Recovering from a hangover?
I recall some years back (maybe at the time of the MSM firestorm over GWB's 1976 DUI offense) that 84 members of Congress had been stopped by police for drunk driving in one two-year period.
I’m not so sure about that. I think the stories leaking out about the GOP’s plans and intentions, a brokered convention, Romney’s miraculous discovery of his balls and his spine, etc., are actually angering people even further and solidifying support for Trump and, given Carson’s departure, even Cruz, albeit to a lesser extent than Trump.
To answer your question and in addition to McConnell, I’d start with the architects of Chris McDaniel’s primary loss to Thad Cochran - many of whom are not elected, as well as the leadership of the NRSC. They include: Reince Priebus, Sen. Roger Wicker (Chairman of the NRSC), Haley Barbour, Henry Barbour, Karl Rove and a few whose names we haven’t yet heard.
This has been, thus far, the most interesting election cycle of my lifetime, and it isn't even half over with, yet...

And rails. Gotta have rails.
Voters see Trump as the guy that sends a very strong PHUCKU to the establishment for all of us.The rest that are running are a bunch of cupcakes.
Rough, hand-hewn w/ SPLINTERS!
