MSNBC Reporter Has No Idea She’s Live During Interview, Tells Clinton Aide What She’ll Be Asking
Free Beacon ^ | 3/6/16 | David Rutz

MSNBC had an awkward moment while trying to conduct a post-debate interview Sunday night, as reporter Kristen Welker appeared not to know she was live and told a Hillary Clinton aide what she would be asking her during their segment.

She then interrupted the guest, Jen Palmieri, when she heard a delayed prompt from the studio.

Ari Melber threw to Welker to speak with Palmieri, a flack for Hillary Clinton, but Welker was in mid-conversation with Palmieri and was telling her she would ask a question about Flint, Michigan, the site of Sunday night’s debate, because of the water crisis there.

“And I’m going to ask you about Flint,” Welker said.

“Kristen, go ahead, you’re live,” Melber said. “You know, we have Kristen Welker. We’re looking at her. She couldn’t quite hear me before. Can you hear me now? If you can, go ahead.”

Welker appeared to be receiving a delayed signal. Finally, she began the interview.

“So Jen, your initial reaction to tonight’s debate? Very fiery,” Welker said.

“Very fiery. Also very substantive,” Palmieri said. “I think it was probably the most substantive exchange that we’ve had. Also, there were a little bit of fireworks, but I think that it was useful because we think–”

I love it when the mask slips and these frauds tell us who they really are.

I think most reporters give their subject a heads-up about what they’ll be asking about in these types of interviews. This wasn’t a “gotcha” question for a press conference. No big deal, as far as I’m concerned.

What I was more shocked at was the Clinton communications director not being aware of how to pronounce the word “substantive,” which she repeatedly pronounced as “substanative.”

We knew that the media was doing all it could to promote the candidacy of democrats. This is no surprise.

There is nothing sinister there. You’re right. When I’ve been interviewed for television I was told generally what we were going to talk about on set before hand too. It’s common practice. If the interviewer in studio doesn’t do it the producer on hand will. Again, common practice.

MSNBC isn't alone in their race to the bottom. The New York Times ‘leaks’ parts of an ‘off the record/background' interview with Trump too...

AND the press wonders why the public doesn't trust or respect them?

Really, they haven't figured it out.

On the lighter brighter side EVEN IF the MSNBC people have ZERO integrity - they have ‘the right tone’... That's the standard these lightweights hold themselves to - 'the right tone'... As if life in Washington DC is an "upstairs downstairs' drawing room affair in a fictional PBS soap opera...

If there were Academy Awards for shallow and superficial, MSNBC would WIN - all of 'em - - hands down. Inane. Silly. Shameful.

Not really.

There will not be debates.

There will be two people on stage, with one of them knowing the entire choreography and details of every question, while the other will have power point presentations thrown against him showing the KKK cheering for him as they have a bonfire in the background on some one's lawn.

If Hillary wasn't expecting a question about Flint's water supply problem, she'd have to be incredibly stupid. Why else did they pick Flint as the location for the debate?

It's not like when she was running for Senate and appeared on the David Letterman show and was given the answers to obscure New York State trivia in advance.

The difference is when they tell you in advance the interview something else.

If it is recorded for later broadcast, that is easily enough dealt with. You simple answer with the line you worked out ahead of the interview. Their questions don't appear in what eventually gets broadcast.
