Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) said on Sunday that the media is sitting on explosive negative information about front-runner Donald Trump with plans to run it later in the year to tear the candidate apart.
"I think an awful lot of reporters — I can't tell you how many media outlets I hear, you know, have this great exposé on Donald, on different aspects of his business dealings or his past, but they said, 'You know what? We're going to hold it to June or July,'" Cruz said on CBS's "Face The Nation" Sunday. "We're not going to run it now."
Cruz said the media has given the front-runner "hundreds of millions of dollars of free advertising." Every press conference Trump has is shown on every television station, he said, noting the media helped create this "phenomenon."
"And all of the attacks on Donald that the media is not talking about now, you'd better believe come September, October, November — if he were the nominee — every day on the nightly news would be taking Donald apart," he said.

Candidates were selected under the guidance of the district Communist party organization. Elections took place after six weeks of campaigning, and the candidates, always unopposed, received more than 99 percent of the vote.
Typical Cruz MO. Throw out unproven allegations “cant tell you how many, I hear, blah blah”. Just like Trump “ may be” a tax fraud, mobster etc.
So sleazy. Trump gets bashed endlessly by both left and right media every single day. It’s only due to widespread support in voting and polls that he has survived this far.
Cruz should change a few of his positions he’d make a perfect Democrat.
People keep thinking that Trump got this far in the campaign on dumb luck. I refuse to believe that a genius guy like Donald J Trump would have a skeleton in his closet of any significance.

I have been saying this for weeks. That they are waiting on the nomination to start their attacks in earnest. So far they have been doing enough to make it look real, not enough to actually do any damage.

I will support Mr. Trump if he’s the GOP nominee, but this is my biggest concern about him - skeletons in his closet.
I was watching a 30 for 30 about the USFL and who shows up? Trump. He used hardball tactics during the merger to squeeze $1 million from the dying league which left two teams out of the NFL expansion. Now this is nothing, but the last name I expected to see as a bad guy in a football documentary was Donald Trump.

2.)Release the “Secret Tape” (even though NY Times says there's nothing there)
3.)Trump guilty of Fraud with Trump University (civil case that hasn't gone to trial)
4.)”The Children” can't have Trump as a role model.
5.) My personal favorite, “Donald Trump has been pro-abortion for 60 years”, I guess making his first public statement on abortion when he was nine.
6.) And now...”Media sitting on Bombshells!!!”

Well Ted don’t you have an obligation to the country and the party to divulge the information now rather than let the media do it later?
I’ve been hearing rumors since Wednesday of some big anti-Trump story that is set to break soon, but it’s apparently not something the media is sitting on as Cruz suggests, because the stop-Trump people have it. Supposedly one of the reasons he didn’t appear at CPAC.
May just be election year scuttlebutt. Time will tell.
