Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) said on Sunday that the media is sitting on explosive negative information about front-runner Donald Trump with plans to run it later in the year to tear the candidate apart.
"I think an awful lot of reporters I can't tell you how many media outlets I hear, you know, have this great exposé on Donald, on different aspects of his business dealings or his past, but they said, 'You know what? We're going to hold it to June or July,'" Cruz said on CBS's "Face The Nation" Sunday. "We're not going to run it now."
Cruz said the media has given the front-runner "hundreds of millions of dollars of free advertising." Every press conference Trump has is shown on every television station, he said, noting the media helped create this "phenomenon."
"And all of the attacks on Donald that the media is not talking about now, you'd better believe come September, October, November if he were the nominee every day on the nightly news would be taking Donald apart," he said.

Interesting you should say that. Trump has spent most of his life lobbying for favors from politicians. He has lots of what they call "walking around money" and yeah people listen to him because he a self-supporting money bag.
Not a puppet of special interest? Well, he is his own special interest.
Corporate donors? Again he knows how to play the game. Give a little to get a little. The old scratch-my-back routine.
So, now he wants to be THE politician so he can be in control all to turn everything his way.
What makes him different from George Soros?

I could ask you why you’re voting for Cruz, and then after you list the myriad reasons, I could tell you why you are wrong and how flawed Cruz is.
It wouldn’t work to convince you to vote for Trump, or any one else for that matter, so why bother? I’ll just have to assume you’ve given the election serious thought and Cruz is the guy who floats your boat. And Trump is my choice.
We all deserve to vote for the candidate we believe to be the best.
You are not the master of my conscience. I am.
Now if you have points to share about your candidate I can listen and decide whatever I want to believe. That is my right.
But to browbeat me into believing your candidate is the best will not get me to vote for your guy.
In fact, those tactics are repulsive.
You need to brush up on your reading comprehension skills! You asked me why I liked Trump and I told you why. Then you replied with a variety of remarks refuting my reasoning. I told you I’ve obviously picked my candidate and you’ve picked yours so...end of conversation. Then you just posted that I’m browbeating you to vote for Trump! Are you freaking kidding me? You Cruzbots are beyond annoying. I don’t GAF who you vote for. Now leave me alone!
As the self promoted most Christian of the group he gets into the dirt quite easily these days. It will be interesting if anything comes out of this video released today. If I’m not mistaken they are claiming to have DNA evidence. No doubt the coming months are going to be a bumpy ride.
"I think [my opinion, not fact] an awful lot of reporters I can't tell you how many [because I'm just making things up] media outlets I hear [hearsay], you know [stalling for time while fabricating remainder of story] , have this great exposé on Donald, on different aspects of his business dealings or his past [Or his past? Everyone's record is their past. This is verbal filler to pad out saying nothing. ], but they said, 'You know what? [stalling for time again to work out the fabcrication] We're going to hold it to June or July,'" Cruz said on CBS's "Face The Nation" Sunday. "We're not going to run it now. [because it does not exist]"
Both of you guys, “Get out of the gutter, and get out NOW!!!”
LOL. Exactly.
Soros isn't an American patriot. Trump is. Moreover, he's fiercely protective of his "brand".
Look at it this way. Even if you believe Trump is just in this for an ego trip and doesn't really care about the country or its citizenry (a serious stretch given any impartial look at the record), Trump as POTUS will view attacks on the US as attacks on him personally and will therefore act in America's interest because any denigration of America will be taken personally. Trump likes to win. If he views himself as the embodiment of the country then he's going to ensure that America wins. It's just basic psychology.
Of course, that's a cynical view of public service, but the point is even if you take the cynical view America's interests will be better served with a President Trump vs. a President Hillary. By contrast, the notion that Hillary wants to be president as a public service calling is laughable.
