Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) said on Sunday that the media is sitting on explosive negative information about front-runner Donald Trump with plans to run it later in the year to tear the candidate apart.
"I think an awful lot of reporters I can't tell you how many media outlets I hear, you know, have this great exposé on Donald, on different aspects of his business dealings or his past, but they said, 'You know what? We're going to hold it to June or July,'" Cruz said on CBS's "Face The Nation" Sunday. "We're not going to run it now."
Cruz said the media has given the front-runner "hundreds of millions of dollars of free advertising." Every press conference Trump has is shown on every television station, he said, noting the media helped create this "phenomenon."
"And all of the attacks on Donald that the media is not talking about now, you'd better believe come September, October, November if he were the nominee every day on the nightly news would be taking Donald apart," he said.

Vague innuendo like this is the kind of thing that really makes Ted Cruz look like a typical Washington politician.
Just like when he disingenuously played the race card against Donald Trump, knowing full well that Trump is not racist.
It's just so routine and predictable, and thereby disposable.
At least we can all now rest assured that the media isn't holding anything on Ted Cruz...
Oh, come on, people.
Seriously?
There is nothing on Cruz.
There is lots on Trump.
Last time Cruz did his byzantine drama queen act, the NYT denied it the day after the debate.
Yawn. More Cruz soap operas...
Bkmk
Cruz = Sleazeball
I don’t vote in it, no use, and I encourage all Cruz supporters to stay away from it, let them wallow in their on self righteousness.....silence with a smile is preferred.
they don’t attack all candidates...
just the ones that don’t align with their agenda.
Yes, and I sent him a message back explaining the difficulty in supporting someone like Ted Cruz.
It's likely there are similar reasons you don't like Trump as to why I would have extreme difficulty putting Ted Cruz on my ballot.
The stink of Glenn Beck is all over Ted for me. He just turns me off.
That is not the BBC expose. Although, I have seen the one you mention. Why don’t you watch it? Scared?
Heidi Cruz's comments from the report:
I support the Task Force report and its recommendations aimed at building a safer and more prosperous North America. Economic prosperity and a world safe from terrorism and other security threats are no doubt inextricably linked. While governments play an invaluable role in both regards, we must emphasize the imperative that economic investment be led and perpetuated by the private sector. There is no force proven like the market for aligning incentives, sourcing capital, and producing results like financial markets and profit-making businesses. This is simply necessary to sustain a higher living standard for the poorest among ustruly the measure of our success. As such, investment funds and financing mechanisms should be deemed attractive instruments by those committing the capital and should only be developed in conjunction with market participants.

You just don't get it.
Trump is the first guy we've ever had who not only fights back with the media: HE WINS!
If you're so sure the media can destroy Trump, what are they going to do to Cruz?
If not the MSM can just make it up
The media has already done due diligence on Cruz and they have already shot their stuff. There is nothing left to get him on. Plus he had bonafide great grades in college and his senior thesis is not in hiding.
Trump on the other hand has got a lot of stuff that media has been seemingly ignoring. Trump thinks that the media will play nice. The media never plays nice when there is the distinct possibility that they might score yuge during sweeps.
You think he will have enough time to pay them all off?
“The bankers and lawyers in the conference room looked at Trump with a combination of awe and disbelief. Whatever their cynical instincts, Trump, the Music Man of real estate, could set off in them the power of imagination, for his real skill has always been his ability to convince others of his possibilities. The line between a con man and an entrepreneur is often fuzzy.”

If it was true, you don't think that David Dewhurst would have used it in the Senate campaign where he got stomped?
