During the debate last night Senator Ted Cruz was asked a direct question by Megyn Kelly about why didnt Senator Jeff Sessions endorse him. Cruz artfully avoided answering and instead deflecting his response to falsely accuse Donald Trump of sending Hillary Clinton four campaign contributions in 2008.
Senator Cruz never answered the question.
So why doesnt Senator Jeff Sessions support Ted Cruz? The answer is within this video:

YOU SAID BOUGHT AND PAID FOR.... NOW IT’S “WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?”... NICE RETREAT FROM A SPURIOUS CHARGE, BUT SINCE WHEN HAS TRUTH MATTERED TO tRUMPsters.... So what did you make of Dick Cheney being #2 man at CFR? Did you accuse he and W of being bought and paid for? ... just askin’
ymmv
Rubio is the liberal candidate of the contest...If his supporters go to Cruz instead of Trump you'll know Cruz is the more liberal of the two...
It is a badge of honor for him. And, if he had a chance he would be a more desirable VP candidate.
Now I understand what’s going on with the uniparty!
Glad you waited;actually, I read what Sessions had said a couple weeks ago, that he liked Trump’s trade policy the best. Although it wasn’t an endorsement at that time, it wasn’t really a surprise when he did endorse and it doesn’t change the fact that the headline is a lie. Now I’ll wait for your answer on this one; Trump’s early campaign was based on immigration and trade, been a month now on “Cruz is the biggest liar I’ve ever seen. “ Are you a big enough suck up to buy into that?
Frankly I don’t care what you believe. I answer only to myself on these matters.
The open borders issue trumps every other, and Sessions is a guy focused on our sovereignty and globalism’s impact on it.
So you go ahead and believe what you want. I know that Sessions is aware of this problem and and no more dismissive of it than I am.
This certainly influenced his endorsement.
OK, thanks.
Trump got Sessions, Cruz got Beck....end of thread....No replies needed because i just pulled a muscle from laughing so hard....please make it stop! hahahahahaha
Sessions said Brats defeat of Cantor is what stopped the Go8. You should look it up, and learn.
Btw, Cruz didnt lift his littlest finger to help Brat in his tough, uphill battle. Cruz didnt even post a supportive tweet, much less anything more substantial.
Stupid?
Everyone knows that Senator Sessions is an expert on all things immigration, and lobbies hard for immigration/illegal immigration control.
Cruz makes out that he was pivotal in defeating the Gang of Eight. In fact, he is running an ad here in Louisiana where it is claimed that by merely mentioning it was an amnesty bill, Cruz defeated the Gang of Eight bill all by himself.
The Senate overwhelmingly passed the Gang of Eight bill.
Cruz had absolutely nothing to do with defeating the Gang of Eight bill.
Cruz makes out that no one is tougher on immigration than he is.
Sessions endorsed Trumps immigration policy.
Where does that leave Cruz with his claims?
Because every Senator wants to be on the winning team.
Its not whats good for America, its whats good for me at this moment.
Itll backfire.
Then by your logic, since EVERY SENATOR wants to be on winning team & It’s not whatt is good for America, IT’S WHAT’S GOOD FOR ME AT THE MOMENT, then the reason Senator Cruz is running is because it is “good for me/him”???
Can’t have it both ways.
So you are saying Cruz is the artful dodger?
You have heard of yellow journalism. Conservative Treeehouse/Sundance bring us orange journalism.
Sorry but Conservative Tree House did not “bring” us the video...
It was produced by CVC - Christian Video Channe...
BTW Did you actually watch the video before posting?
You’re welcome. When I first heard Cruz given credit for stopping the Go8 bill in the House, I thoroughly researched the subject. I thought that even If Cruz hadn’t endorsed Brat, given money to him or campaigned for him, he might at least have posted a supportive tweet.
Turns out he didn’t even do that. However, after all the gruelling work and political risk was over, and Brat’s victory was secure, Cruz’ office did the usual. I.e.: they tried to appropriate some of the Brat victory glory for cruz, and tweeted,
“Can you hear us now?”
Honestly, if you can’t lend a hand when it counts, don’t try to hitch a ride on the victory wagon later. It’s unseemly.
I am.
He does not answer the question, then pivots to something else.
‘Conservativetreehouse is garbage.’
Fine.
Now link me to Cruz’ URGENT comments re the fact that the US has already lost or national sovereignty due to our total loss of control on the borders. At least Sundance grasps what is at stake. Be nice to know Cruz does too.
While not framed in exactly your manner, Cruz did bring up “sovereignty” in the Nov. 11 debate:
For those of us who believe people ought to come to this country legally and we should enforce the law, were tired of being told it is anti-immigrant, said Cruz. Every sovereign nation secures its borders, and it is not compassionate to say were not going to enforce the laws and were going to drive down the wages for millions of hard-working men and women. No one on stage took a direct a swing at Rubio on immigration, but from that answer its clear Cruz is practicing.
OK, I hereby give you credit for a term that should catch on :)
Cruz, the artful dodger...
We need some graphics people to get going on this!
So he never found the time to mention our lost sovereignty as a senator, nor did he mention it as a candidate UNTIL many months into the campaign, and then only AFTER Trump had hammered the issue.
Unimpressed.
One of the main things Cruz ran on for Senator was for Texas State’s rights, and U.S. rights and laws, and immigration and border control.
Texan Tribune interview, Feb. 3, 2011
Excerpt:
Cruz: During the tenure that I was serving as solicitor general, Texas repeatedly led the nation, standing up, fighting for conservative principles and winning on a national level. .... And most significantly in a case called Medellin vs. Texas we stood up to an order from the World Court, which is the judicial arm of the United Nations, tried to bind the United States and order the U.S. to reopen the convictions of 51 murderers across this country. Texas stood up to the World Court. We went to the U.S. Supreme Court I had the honor of arguing this case twice in front of the U.S. Supreme Court. On the other side were 90 nations and was the president of the United States. And we stood up and we defended U.S. sovereignty, and we won 6-3.

TT: As the son of a Cuban immigrant, how would you approach immigration in the U.S. Senate?
Cruz: I think anyone looking seriously at the issue of immigration, particularly in a post 9-11 world, realizes we have to seriously secure the border, we have to enforce the law. I strongly oppose illegal immigration, and I do not support amnesty, and I never will support amnesty, because I think as a matter of national security and as a matter of respect for rule of law we need to secure the border and know whos entering this country. And I dont think weve treated that seriously in the past.
