This was his opportunity to talk about the horrible ROE that our warriors have to work under.
Some would, others would not.
Does anyone know if Trump has disavowed his statement yet? Err, I mean, softened his statement?
Yes they would, or at least they’d better.
I thought this was interesting, given that the military has already followed dubious orders from Obama.
Lawfulness. A general order or regulation is lawful unless it is contrary to the Constitution, the laws of the United States, or lawful superior orders or for some other reason is beyond the authority of the official issuing it.
And in Section 14c(2)(a)(i) of the same military code:
Inference of lawfulness. A order requiring the performance of a military duty or act may be inferred to be lawful and it is disobeyed at the peril of the subordinate. This inference does not apply to a patently illegal order, such as one that directs the commission of a crime.
Where were all these threats of disobedience with Obama? Guess they don’t want to look like they’re bucking the guy they’re actually afraid of.

Yes, we have seen this posted before.
Yes, we have seen tons of comments to those posts.
Yes, I understand your point of view.
Yes, you should listen to the clarification.
Yes, you should stop paying attention to those utterly ridiculous "debates"
In context, there would be no reason to.
On the field of battle, we should be blowing up buildings with artillery fire or air strikes if we are taking fire from them, or is we have identified enemy personnel sheltering within them. Civilian collateral damage lies at the feet of Enemies trying to use them as human shields.
Absolutely we now have hard leftists among our troops that would betray the men they serve with and declare an artillery assault a war crime.
That wouldn’t make it so.
Trump has backed off his statement.
Other than Obama’s Executive Order banning waterboarding, what are the laws pertaining to interrogation and information gathering, including so-called torture?
Maybe you should keep trying. I got it to play for me again.
you tell the enemy anything that you want them to think....like pig blood on your bullets.
This was his opportunity to talk about the horrible ROE that our warriors have to work under.
That’s right. He missed a good opportunity.
By the same token, the bureaucracy has the same obligation to not violate the law.
I will...Thanks...
Gee I guess you consider Harry Truman a war criminal. Is that correct?
