At this point. I think Arizona is the next state to watch, assuming everything from now to the 15th play out as generally expected until then. By then unless an unexpected result in FL or OH the race will be down to 2.

The next states to vote after that are AZ and UT... Last polling I have seen in AZ Trump is up big, and it’s a winner take all state, no triggers no minimums. If Trump holds his lead and wins AZ after consolidation, the entire consolidation theory is dead.

Time will tell.

According to the Trump cultists, however, the many and consistent polls showing Clinton easily beating Trump are part of a secret conspiracy are not to be trusted.

Nonsense. There's a qualitative difference between those two types of polls that all but the most ignorant are eminently aware of.

Hypothetical matchup polls, 8 months out from the general election, are nothing but the clumsy tools of desperate propagandists. They have no utility whatsoever.

At the same point in 1980, such "polls" had Ronald Reagan about 30 points behind the incumbent President. How did that end up working out for Jimmy Carter?

So please stop trying to conflate polls which are as different as apples and oranges. The state-by-state polls which reflect the reality of the moment are not to be equated with the wishful thinking of Trump-haters.

The enthusiasm gap between GOP voters and the Democrats is huge, which, of course, is something that RV-based polls you're pushing completely fail to take into account.

Donald Trump will obliterate the corrupt crook Hillary Clinton in the general election. Not just beat, but destroy her in a Reagan-esque landslide.

If you can't see the tsunami that's coming, you've got blinders on.

So, to reiterate, you can peddle your tired, irrelevant propaganda all you like, but nobody, and I mean nobody, is buying...

Absolutely. He single[handedly stopped her "War on Women" theme by pointing that she's married to and enables a sexual harasser. Nobody else DARED to go there. And that's just one issue.

Yawn.

1980 America no longer exists. The percentage white population is so much lower that the GOP path to victory is narrow with no room for setbacks.

Today Reagan would lose statewide election in California in a landslide to any random Democrat.

Is there an actual link to the source of this poll? I have never seen it, prior to reading this thread. I know it says it is an "OANN" poll, but all research and links lead back to only the twitter feed of Dan Scavino, an adviser to Trump.

Being a lifelong Kentuckian, and friend to a couple of people who run their own polls, the only Kentucky caucus poll I've seen is the Western Kentucky University poll from last week.

The WKU poll reads:
Trump 35
Rubio 22
Cruz 15
Carson 7
Kasich 6

I realize the risk of being flamed by the Trump lovers for questioning anything, but I would just like to see an actual source link, rather than just Trump's own senior adviser. Thanks.

I freely admit that Trump may have a polling lead in KY, but he is at 35 % here (from the real WKU poll, not 50 % as Trump's adviser's twitter feed shows). Guess we'll see which is closer when the caucuses close at 4 pm today.

By the way, I do like your Ayn Rand quote about compromise. And then I thought about how Trump is all about compromise and making deals.

The OANN poll is a real poll not a Trump advisor’s poll.

Please stay in reality, RonPaul.

I don’t think so. Kentucky is proportional and you need only to reach a 5% threshold to share in the delegates.

On your FR profile page, you have an Ayn Rand quote: "In any compromise between good and evil, it is only evil that can profit." I was complementing you on it.

If the OANN poll is real, then please provide a link to it, rathern than just a Trump advisor's tweet, as the original poster referenced.

You are correct: from the state party rules, “each candidate who receives at least five percent (5%) of the total votes cast at the caucus shall be awarded a pro-rata portion of the authorized delegate vote for the Kentucky Republican Party at the Republican National Convention.”
