No waterboarding was done by Obama’s executive order. This is an easy one.

Yet another example of Trump’s tendency for political shapeshifting. You Trumpettes don’t know when to quit spinning.

Most apt post of the day. The Donald can spin himself into a whirling dervish and his supporters won’t notice.

Trump is almost as good at flip-flopping as Romney.

Perhaps better.

(And why I didn’t vote for Romney and won’t vote for Trump.)

Trump has done so many wild policy shifts even he has forgotten where he stands.

It’s called collateral damage. Ask Khadaffi how that works...oops...nevermind...we assassinated him which is not allowed.

He’s better at it than Romney. We always knew that Romney was a bit of a RINO, whereas Trump masquerades as a strong conservative while his past actions shout “Liberal”.

“Most apt post of the day. The Donald can spin himself into a whirling dervish and his supporters won’t notice.”

Oh, they’ll notice; they’ll simply attribute it to his astounding brilliance.

His stance as the CinC means he can order military personnel to do something, according to the chain of command. Illegal orders are, by definition, illegal.

0bama made waterboarding illegal by EO, not by ordinary legal process. However, waterboarding still applies to and is used in training our own military, so this issue presents a problem.

So last night he said he would make the military obey unlawful orders and today he (?) said he wouldn’t do that. I disagreed with his position last night. I wonder if anybody here supports both?

Idiotic discussion in the first place.

You know that whole non debate just got out of hand last night. I personally discount most of what was said by everyone except Kasich who just stayed on subject matter like a champ. Bless his heart. :-)

“Trump said in a statement that he understands “that the United States is bound by laws and treaties” and said he would “not order our military or other officials to violate those laws and will seek their advice on such matters.” He added, “I will not order a military officer to disobey the law”

He made a bad call then resolved it quickly. Did anyone ask those other two morons the same question? Or do they just attack the leader.

I remember when conservatives used to frown upon this sort of thing:

From David French:

“Regarding Kasich, his performance was cheap and cowardly. Anyone can look statesmanlike when they opt out of a necessary fight. By choosing to cast himself as above the fray, he created a false moral equivalence between Trump, Rubio, and Cruz, and he transparently curried favor with viewers weary of conflict. With every passing moment, he is staining his legacy and his reputation. At a crucial moment, Kasich chose to be — first and foremost – for Kasich. Shame on him.”

"He’s better at it than Romney. We always knew that Romney was a bit of a RINO, whereas Trump masquerades as a strong conservative while his past actions shout “Liberal”."

Indeed. As noted by the Appellate Panel deciding the fraud case against Trump said on the issue:
