Riiight, but then why does Trump get a pass on saying in 2012 that he supported the same kind of amnesty Rubio does?
Trump also just said in his press conference that “at this point” deportation is not negotiable. Obviously from that weasel word statement, and in light of him being against deportation in 2012, he’s not going to do the deportation and may not have ever intended it to happen.
Trump will probably build a wall, but Cruz has said repeatedly he’ll build a wall too, so they’re even on that.
Where is your mythical gathering of “pure” conservatives? As if Trump ever qualified as one himself.
By the way, free trade is conservative. If you don’t like it, you’ve got the Sanders wing of the ‘rat party to join.

Yes it is a major distinction. There is a big difference between someone who is asked to speak and says (paraphrase) No thank you, then someone who is asked to speak and says (paraphrase) I would love to. So they plan on him being there and at the last minute Trump backs out.
