A 12-foot-tall inflatable Pinocchio prominently featured in a pro-Israel installation at Columbia University has been permanently deflated, according to one of the students in the group that had erected it. The news came Thursday from Columbias Student Governing Board (SGB), nearly 48 hours after it held a special meeting to discuss Pinocchios fate.
SGB decided not to approve it, Rudy Rochman, a co-founder of the Columbia chapter of Students Supporting Israel (SSI), told The Algemeiner. We will put the rest of our display back up, without the Pinocchio.
When The Algemeiner asked Rochman whether SGB had given a reason for the decision, he declined to comment.
The controversy began Tuesday early afternoon. Although SSI said it had obtained the proper permit for a large installation opposite an Israeli Apartheid Week display, as reported Tuesday by The Algemeiner, shortly after inflating the Pinocchio, leaders of the SGB insisted it be taken down. In video footage seen by The Algemeiner, a young woman, identified as SGB Chair Mariam Elnozahy, can be seen telling Roch

Do these ‘best and brightests’ ever do any schoolwork? When I went to college I actually had to study, write and prepare for pop quizzes and exams!
“Student activists at Brown University are complaining of emotional stress and poor grades after months of protesting, and blame the school for insisting that they complete their coursework.”
There are people breaking down, dropping out of classes, and failing classes because of the activism work they are taking on, an undergraduate student going by the pseudonym David told The Brown Daily Herald Thursday. My grades dropped dramatically. My health completely changed. I lost weight. Im on antidepressants and anti-anxiety pills right now. Counselors called me. I had deans calling me to make sure I was okay.

It’s true.
I studied around 7 hours a day, plus weekends.
Immature liberal. Wait, I’ m repeating myself.
bmp
The proper response would have been to tell the Muzzies who were offended that we have our permits and to kindly **** off.
Yep.
When I wasn’t in class or at work, I studied.
And every Spring break I wrote a term paper.
“Activism” never fit into my schedule.
Funny how this holds true for REAL students.
LOL
Wow. My college experience was class, study, practice, work, and sleep. I managed to fit in meals, family, and boyfriend somehow. How do these special snowflakes get by? I did my grad work pregnant then nursing. I’d love to see these flakes deal with the real world.
What a disgrace. I hope their parents are ashamed but I doubt it. Liberalism is truly, truly a mental disease.
These snowflakes will go straight to Washington DC, get a great sinecure, and live off the taxpayer for the rest of their lives.
Columbia University was one of the Ivy League/East Coast leading universities targeted for infiltration by the Communist Party and other Marxists since the 1930’s.
Over the decades they managed to get their people in as professors (i.e. Prof. Corliss Lamont, late head of the Philosophy Dept, id. CPUSA member and financial angle and Soviet propagandist - had a Chair named after him), then the SDS of the late 1960’s where the administration caved into the red mobs (Mark Rudd, Steve Halliwell, etc), and now it has become a leading bastion of Moslem anti-Semitism and anti-Israel propaganda and subversion.
Instead of singing “Hail Columbia”, they are now singing the communist “Internationale” and “Halal Columbia”.
And many of the other NYC schools are just as bad, NYU, CUNY, John Jay College, etc.
If you'd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

Columbias Student Governing Board (SGB) are fascists, plain and simple.
“Free Speech for ME! And NONE for thee,” quote the liberal socialist whiners.
You poor thing! Couldn’t you just agree with your professors and get an A?
Why not just do the coursework, and ignore the stupid protests?
