Why You Shouldnt Be Allowed to Drive
The article is behind a paywall, but I posted it to show where we are headed.

Soon, there will be software that the government will use to program where you can or cannot go. Perhaps a ride to the caged room for your arrest. That’s the ticket!
So we develop one of the most incredible marvels known to man, the modern automobile, to toss it aside in the interest of limiting our mobility and right to free assembly.
Gosh, just toss that in with gerbal warming and we’ve got something going here...
Dumb as a stone...
No freedom.
No mobility.
No flexibility.
No job.
Etc.
Why is the vehicle headed in the direction of the Soylent Meat Processing company?! No. He$$ No.
Yes... force the populace into tightly controlled urban areas and take away all vestiges of individuality and freedom.
Because it worked so well before.
Saw this one coming a mile from last Tuesday.
I guess they don’t teach you in J school that under the law driving is a PRIVILEGE and not a RIGHT.
Driving is not a right. It is a privilege.
Driverless car. The perfect gift for that mother-in-law.
Flip a couple switches at Central Command and instant organ donations.
One which the central overseers will take away from individuals for ‘a better society’.
If driving is a privilege, who bestows it on us? The government? The government builds roads with money they take from us, the taxpayers.
Of course before cars were invented no one ever was killed while traveling.
Maybe the Inner Party members can get to drive air cars that are two lanes wide.
These so-called “journalists” are astoundingly ignorant, aren’t they?
Never used to be the case that roads were built by the government; a great many roads were in the private sector originally, and could not have gotten built without private investment.
Not to mention that the Postal Clause gives Congress the power to “establish...post roads” but not necessarily to own or maintain; thus something like the Federal Highway Administration is actually unconstitutional due to being one arm of an executive branch agency (the USDOT).
28,000 lives saved every year!
Who could possibly oppose that?
We can deal with Bus, train and Airline travel later.
Let's hear it for the first advanced, industrialized country in the world to eliminate travel fatalities!
It's the right thing to do.
It's who we are!
Not dumb. Evil.
