No offense, but you may end up telling your grandchildren that you voted for a Canadian in 2016. If I’m proven wrong, apologies to you.

Actually I’d say it was a weak performance not getting a majority.
Especially considering this was Texas and your prime opponent was all about “New York Values”

My roof needs new shingles, so yeah, you have a point there.

OK, thanks- I thought that they were talking about the eventual primary winner carrying his home state.

“So when your favorite sports team wins by 1 point/run it is not really a win? Trump logic. Bizarro world...”

This is all about delegates. Who has the most at the end. We are only at the end of the first quarter of the game if you want to put it that way.

Under the circumstances, given incredibly strong support Trump is getting, Cruz did better than most would have thought. Highest polling I saw him showed him in the low 30’s. Would think he exceeded expectations.

Guess you can write about anything...

It actually relates to how many other candidates are still in the race at the time of the primary. Also the Texas primary was moved up this year...were it conducted at its old date, some candidates may have dropped out...but who knows...it’s a very strange primary...

So here’s the deal. In yesterday’s Super Tuesday delegate count:

Trump won 234 delegates

Cruz won 209 delegates

Cruz is the main and credible threat to Trump.

He is also conservative.

I heard bits of both, but I was busy at that time, so I didn’t get to listen to either one with focus.

Now I hear people saying Chris Christie was distracting at the Trump speech LOL! He did look like a dope standing back there.

But still, whatever was said at these speeches, and I understand that Cruz’s speech was an attack speech, I still want to see a setting aside of arms between Trump and Cruz.

I think that would be a very formidable ticket in terms of Hellary, and it also would stick the middle finger right in the face of the damned GOP, which I am disgusted with at this point.

That was not the conversation

I was replying to something totally different

It was a comparison between how well Cruz did in his home state primary last night versus Gore in 2000

Cruz did far worse

In fact he did as bad as any GOP primary candidate ever has

I think Rubio’s on track to break that record in a couple weeks.

Ted Cruz endorsement fails as Ted Cruz fails to win more than 50% of the vote in Texas

Cruz had a good night and he deserves praise for his victories. He has a tough row to hoe going forward unless he can convince Rubio to get out of the race and its hard to see that happening before the Florida primary.

Actually ted needed 50% and did to get that as the delegates are now shared with Trump.

Texas did not “turn Republican” until 1980 & still has a fairly large Democrat voting base, esp in the valley. Cruz is a relatively newcomer to TX politics, unlike the Bush family. Plus the fact that this primary comes earlier than usual.

Along with his mega dollar PACs and contributors.

It doesn't take huge sums of money to win an election, much less against Hillary who will have almost $1 billion? You fault a guy for raising money when not having money ends in defeat? You should find something legitimate to criticize him for? Or not.

After Nevada, didn’t Teddy Cruztablishment cancel all campaigning outside of Texas so he and his team could focus everything on defending his home turf?

And this is all he can show for it?

Lol!

But i do love how anyone who doesn’t support trump is being paid by the establishment to be here.

Oh Man, why didn't anyone tell me? Do they have matching funds? When is the Establishment going to reach out to me? I would have contributed more to Cruz!

ahem...you may be need to put down the kool-aid before you post...
