Rep. Steve King: GOP Establishment Could Back Hillary if Trump or Cruz Wins Nomination
Breitbart ^ | John Hayward

Posted on 03/01/2016 9:58:16 PM PST by ObamahatesPACoal

Congressman Rep. Steve King (R-IA) 79% appeared on Breitbart News Daily Tuesday morning to support Senator Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 97% in today’s crucial primary elections and to warn that the GOP Establishment is determined to punish Trump and Cruz supporters, and they could even tacitly get behind Hillary Clinton as someone “they can do business with” if Cruz or Trump wins the nomination.

>> Man, this was a really confusing article, apparently.

Or an unnecessarily brief excerpt.

It’s so bad that it’s almost funny.

It's not just this thread.

I suspect that some post-election drinking might be involved.

Think I'll call it a night.

Why would the GOPe take Hillary over Cruz? Cruz’s donors ARE GOPe.

Think about what King is really saying here. The Establishment is willing to support HILLARY, thereby ensuring the destruction of our country will be completed.

This is how little they care for our country and for the will of the voters.

King should be ashamed of himself. I am angry & disgusted.

This isn’t a theory. It’s already happening. A sitting GOP U. S. Senator is saying he will not support Trump in the general.

Huh? King is supporting Cruz and is saying the party people will abandon the nominee if Trump or Cruz win. He’s not doing it, he’s commentating on others doing it.

There’s just no evidence the GOP would abandon Cruz. They nuclear bombed Trump today while not saying a word about Cruz. The GOPe is juts fine with Cruz if he stops Trump, IMO.

I hope they do it very high profile. That will make them easier to defeat in their primary races.

This is the candidate disgruntled republicans and conservatives say they will support or refuse to fight:

Hillary has Benghazi, has a crime syndicate foundation, has an illegal email server, has classified emails that have violated security and revealed national secrets, has helped terrorism in the middle east and north Africa, has supported a wide open border, has openly supported partial birth abortion, has sworn to uphold obamacare, and has shown she will guide this nation toward full socialism.

Those who support this are traitors.

Those who refuse to fight it are not patriots.

Which U.S. senator?

I’m not sure how the problem is that it’s an unnecessarily brief excerpt; the first part of the first sentence says that King is supporting Cruz. It doesn’t get much more obvious than that, especially after the headline already showed King as putting Cruz and Trump in the same boat.

I think tensions are just high and people are passionate; they are maybe just misreading and posting, and then other people are reacting to their posts, rather than reading the articles themselves. It’s no big deal, but it sure made for an unexpectedly crazy thread.

the GOPe is nothing but the minority partner of the Uniparty

Quite right.

The elites don't see the building wave that is about to crest over them.

The American people are waking up. If nothing else the rise of Trump reflects disgust with our self-serving rulers. This anger should be turned in a positive direction to beat down our oppressors and restore free government.

Article V while we still can, before the emerging police state stomps out all dissent.

I can’t believe the crap coming out of the GOP post Trump win. Everyone wants to disect his numbers. He won in spite of starting with 17 candidates going after him from day one. In spite of the media, RNC, democrats, talk radio and almost 200 million in negative ads. There is something bigger going on here. They are trying to thwart the will of the AMERICAN people and it’s ugly.

Agreed. How on earth is a Republican going to campaign against the party nominee come this fall? Ain’t happening.
That said I do understand King’s sentiment.

Ben Sasse of Nebraska. More of these will start to come out in attempt to stop Trump.
