Donald J. Trump won sweeping victories across the South and in New England on Tuesday, a show of strength in the Republican primary campaign that underscored the breadth of his appeal and helped him begin to amass a wide delegate advantage despite growing resistance to his candidacy among party leaders.
Mr. Trumps political coalition with his lopsided victories in Alabama, Georgia, Massachusetts and Tennessee, and narrower ones in Arkansas and Virginia appears to have transcended the regional and ideological divisions that have shaped the Republican Party in recent years.
With strong support from low-income white voters, especially those without college degrees, he dominated in moderate, secular-leaning Massachusetts just as easily as he did in the conservative and heavily evangelical Deep South.
Brandishing his Super Tuesday victories as proof of his political might, Mr. Trump said he expected to consolidate the Republican Party behind his campaign.
I am a unifier, he told reporters at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., after the winners of about half the days contests had been declared. Once we get all of this finished, I am going to go after one person: Hillary Clinton.

So you’re admitting Trump cheated?
Not sure how on earth repeating a CNN story by some underling is cheating, but whatever.
Oh so a Trump plant saying Cruz is getting out (with no links to a real news outlet) isn’t cheating?
Yes only in Trump full retard mode does this make sense.
I agree...at first the Trump supporters were cool last night and striking a conciliatory tone. But today the retard Trump supporters are back out in force and taking a dump on anything they see.
Eh, they were constipated so today they’re finding relief. They’ll be OK.
LMAO! That appears to be true. We need to get them some Metamucil so they can be a little more regular. Or better yet let them eat a couple MREs and they will be constipated for weeks.
All Trump has do to is win 50% of the delegates from here on in. Then he will win the delegate count.
Cruz is taking votes from bathrubio. Let him stay in and run against Trump as this will unify the conservatives and give the GOPe the middle finger. Trump will win and Cruz will throw his support to Trump rather than a Rino like rubio. To me , this whole election is about getting rid of the GOPe, and putting the power of nominations back to the conservatives.
I decided last night that I won’t be following this race as closely any more. I do believe the republicans are too fractured into 3 groups. Cruz, Rubio, and Trump. Whoever wins will not have the support from the other candidates’ voters. We’re about to hand this over to Hillary.
I would like to point out that Trump and Cruz were actually friendly to each other before the elections. I read somewhere that they met about 4 times before the elections. They also were cordial to each other during the first part. Maybe some of this between the two was staged. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the two unite together later and take over the GOP. Cruz has been hated by the GOPe leadership ever since he was elected. He wasn’t a “team player” or $uckass to the leadership.
I’d love to see Trump open the debate tomorrow with a bouquet of flowers for Megyn with an apology in the little note card.......
Having a college degree now is a serious detriment to one’s brain & soul :( Unless you’re enrolled on Hillsdale...
Yep, it’s us dumb hicks that’s voting for him. Unfortunately for the elites, there are more of us dumb hicks than there are of them.
By the way, Cruz is now only the second hated man in the senate. Sessions just took number one.
