Too bad Trump never told anyone he likes to make deals. You should get a copy of “Art of the Deal”.

It will be impossible for Trump to do anything less than Rubio, Cruz or any of the other so-called conservative politicians since they have done absolutely nothing. 1 foot of wall will have them all beat.

Enjoy your huge Cruz victories tonight! SUCKER!!!

That is not Ted’s position at all and your intimation of it is a pure calumny. His position is very clear, we already have immigration laws in place, we already have law enforcement who’s job it is to locate and deport illegal aliens, We do not need to create such a force. He also says we will not go door to door hunting them down. That is wasteful of taxpayer money, instead we will deport those that are arrested or found out. While true we can’t deport them before they commit crimes that would violate peoples constitutional rights.
Making that argument would be the same as, claiming Trump is pro murder because he can’t find murderers before they commit the crime. It is asinine to take that position, because before one acts on something, only they are responsible for what comes into their minds. After someone acts on it, it becomes the jurisdiction of the government.

Let me ask all Trump supporters, should someone be thrown in jail for their thoughts? how about their opinions? Beliefs? or should they only be imprisoned for their actions?
That is what is at stake in our country this election.

On the one hand, we hear all of this about how Trump doesn’t respect the Constitution and the democratic process, then all of the sudden, it’s Trump is going to negotiate with Congress. Give it up!

We are witnessing absolute desperation and chaos this morning on the news and even here on Free Republic. I don’t really like it when the lot is cast so early in the cycle. But that is what the GOPe did to themselves by writing rules that would help dump insurgent candidates early in the process.

To all those who presume to know so much more than the approximately 3 out of 4 of us who have been supporting Donald Trump in the nightly Free Republic Caucus... We bow down to yours and the DOPe’s superior knowledge. It’s over; Armageddon is upon us; the billionaire devil is about to steam roll Super Tuesday.

You probably should take Ted’s lead. He told Anderson Cooper recently that he is a “scotch man” but that he also loves whisky and other hard liquors. He has the Bona Fides to prove it... both his parents both had great difficulty with alcohol. He was arrested for underage drinking as a teen. He got into all sorts of difficulties by being a drunk in college. The corpuscles at the end of his nose, his glassy eyes, and looking ten years older than his actual age all announce that he will be tipping back a lot of bottles tonight. You his followers, should probably just follow the great example he is setting, to get through the evening.

LOL

The truth must really be a pain for you folks.

I’m rather enjoying shoving it in your face.

Shocked. Shocked I tell you.

Immigration “negotiable”.

Won’t take sides on Israel and palestinians.

And the list goes on.

Were about to nominate a liberal.

The Times now sees a Trump victory in hand so they decided they had to leak this. The Times probably had no desire to leak it since it makes Trump looks like he could negotiate and that would only help him in the general election. The Elites from both parties are going in to stop Trump.

I understand what you are saying, but what I am saying is that for something to reach the level of principal, it would have to be very important and would form the basis of your worldview as a whole. When you are willing to negotiate on those principles then the aren’t principles they are beliefs.

“Trump cuts deals.”

Everybody does.

Like Cruz cut deals with Ryan/Obama/establishment in pushing, promoting, and voting for TPA.

Cruz cut a deal with Obama/establishment with the Corker bill.

However, Trump has never cut a deal that has endangered our national existence, as has Cruz and Rubio did by voting for those two bills.

Why does Rush NEVER, EVER, NEVER mention those two votes????

Hardly. I have no illusions that Trump is a conservative messiah -- I know full-well that he won't do everything he's promised, but he's worth the chance. Do you know something Jeff Sessions doesn't?

The message Trump's successful candidacy sends is that the establishment has ignored the people for far too long, that we won't hold our noses and vote for whatever milquetoast they pick, that we're tired of all this PC BS and letting the media/left control the dialog and the narrative, and that when they had better take our input because this is what happens when they don't. All of the other candidates are political insider hacks. Rubio is a sweating, gay, RINO hack. Kasich is a hedgefund RINO hack. Cruz is a Canadian hack with some very questionable, is not downright damnable, votes under his belt. Trump may be some kind of insider, but he's clearly not the type they like, he's not a hack, and he's never been a politician.

“He just admitted on Hannity that aspects of deportation and the wall are negotiable.”

No, in fact, he said they were non-negotiable.

Everything is negotiable that is how politics works

We just have really bad negotiators on our side

Obama: I want to spend trillions of dollars we don’t have on my agenda, fund Planned Parenthood, fund muslims, fund illegals, etc

Republicans: Can we get oil subsidies for our big donors?

Obama: Sure

Republicans: ok cool, lets pass this

Obama: Sweet

That is how negotiations work now

Cruz never donated money to the Clintons. Cruz has principles. Trump changes his positions like I change my socks.

The problem is had anyone else said it you and other Trump supporters would be screaming bloody murder. Deny it all you want. All you Trump people do is close your eyes to everything anyway.

Trumpies: Get ready for this should Trump win the election. Trump has no core values, and has expressed liberal ones in the past. He’s not even a RINO. He’s not a Republican. He’s just the personification of your frustration. Think you have a “uniparty” now - just wait. You’re being played for fools.

We have been played for fools for the past 30 years

What is another 4 really going to do?

I will take my chances with Trump, heck he might actually get something done that is a net benefit for this country (for once)

No, in fact, he said they were non-negotiable.

Actually, in typical Trump fashion, he did both.
