Trump Admits Times Report, Says Status Of Illegals Is “Negotiable”

For months now, Donald Trump has spouted the same line on immigration, promising to build a border wall and deport people here illegally. Last night, he admitted he would not deport the 11 million people in the United States illegally....

Trump appeared on Sean Hannity's show.... Here's the key transcript:

"We had a board meeting [at the New York Times], it was off-the-record, suddenly they leak it..." Trump said.

"They said it's negotiable on the wall," Hannity said...

"By the way it is negotiable. Things are negotiable," Trump said.

Trump was quick to add that the negotiation does not include nixing the idea altogether.

"Building it? Not negotiable."

"Would it be negotiable about the 11 million?" Hannity pressed. "Maybe let some people stay if they register in a period of time?"

"I would say this," Trump added, "we will work out some system that's fair, but we either have a country or we don't. We need a border. We need a wall."

Here's Rubio at the CNN debate last week:

before we do anything on immigration, we are going to secure the border. And, that's not just the physical border with Mexico, it's Visa overstays. That's 45 percent of the problem right there.

It also has to do -- that's why we need e-verify, and entry-exit tracking system, and so-forth. And, until that happens, we're not doing anything else. And then we'll see what the American people are willing to support";

Those are exactly the same positions - build the wall, then figure out what to do with the people already here. There is literally no daylight between the Rubio and Trump positions on immigration.

“I would say this,” Trump added, “we will work out some system that’s fair, but we either have a country or we don’t. We need a border. We need a wall.”

And the problem with this statement is?

“ZZZZZZZZZ.”

That’s right, that’s what the Trumpsters are doing - they’re asleep, better yet hypnotized.

Are they going to be in for a shock when they come out of their trance!

The Dictionary describes Principle as “ A fundamental Truth, upon which all beliefs and actions are based.”

If Trump is willing to negotiate on Principle is it really a principle?

He has stated that deporting Illegal Immigrants is a principle he holds. Yet now he is willing to negotiate?

The wall he says it is a principle, however there are only three options to a wall being built. Build it, don’t build it, start building and don’t finish. Where is there negotiation?

It does not matter. There is no level of hypocrisy that Trump supporters will not accept. They are so blinded by their love of Trump that they cannot see they are being duped.

When Trump grants amnesty, they’ll be for amnesty.

“we will work out some system that’s fair, but we either have a country or we don’t. We need a border. We need a wall.”

You have to vote for it (Trump) to see what's in it.

Eisenhower deported thousands of illegals with a fraction of the manpower, money, and technology we have now.

Just build the wall. That alone would stop the invasion and beef up interior enforcement which will smoke out the rest of the illegals.

Immigration policy?
Border wall?

If Trump is willing to negotiate on Principle is it really a principle?

Trump says it clearly: the wall is not negotiable. The details like size, color, type, location, etc. will be a matter of discussion.

This is a lying headline. Another bearing of false witness.

He also affirmed his position on immigration. (I actually listened to the interview.)

Just said the details of those being allowed to return will be fair.
