McConnell and the rest of those moderate (stands for nothing) to liberal Republicrats should start planning for their funeral.

My prediction is that Trump takes it by a Landslide and goes after Hillary on all her Thousands of Emails and the Clinton's filthy, lying and sordid lives. Go after her miserable SOS tenure and their lieberry in Little Rock that has a million or so documents that they won't release. Sandy Berger's socks weren't big enough to empty the government records on the Clinton treachery.

9/11 was a direct cause of the Clinton cowardice. Besides Osama was probably another one of their contributors.

Even if Trump does not becoming POTUS, and I hope he does, he has provided an enormous service by pulling back the curtain on the Political cartel known as the 2 party system.

Republicans believe that control and survival of the GOP is synonymous with survival of America.

News Flash! America is America without the Republican Establishment and their privileged insiders.

Just a snippet of Wiki background on the Koch brothers:

“Former Republican congressman Joe Scarborough, co-host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, has pointed out that, although their critics are usually unaware of the fact, the Koch brothers have supported more than just what are generally considered conservative causes. They opposed George W. Bush on many issues, are pro-choice, support same sex marriage, and had worked closely with the Obama White House for the Obama administration’s criminal justice reform initiatives that aligned with their own”.

Please, Mitt, I beg you. Please run for president!

This will help to unite the rest of the party behind Trump, of course. And burn up some of GOPe’s money. They’ve got too much money.

Let’s start the political ads with a tape of her sarcastic slow-clapping responses to Dubya’s speech to Congress in the immediate aftermath of 9/11.

From there, it will just go downhill.

If nothing else, we can thank Trump for hastening the death of what was once the Republican Party. I don’t know what it’s successor will be, but Conservative voices have to start getting loud with a lot more persistence and consistency.

CA....

Romney is connected to Senator Sasse through a consulting firm, IIRC. They are laying ground work to run Sasse as a 3rd party “constitutionalist” and throw the election to Hillary.

Reince “Wassermann” Preibus needs to align with Trump NOW (or at least acknowledge that Trump is the runaway candidate that the GOP "establishment" will support) if he expects to survive politically.

The GOP “establishment” could actually orchestrate the demise of the party, going the way of the Whigs and Tories.

...and not without chaos and anarchy.

That assumes that future state primary voters, currently supporting Trump, would rush to Romney over Trump.

What states would a new Romney entry win that Cruz/Kasich/Rubio would NOT win? What states would Romney take away from Trump?

Romney wasn't soaring in 2012. His entry would likely be met with as little enthusiasm as the reruns of Huckabee and Santorum were in Iowa this year.

Estimates are that Trump will pick up around 2/3 of the delegates tomorrow (SuperTuesday). Add those to his current 82 would show him about 416 + 82 = 498.

Even is only one candidate won the remaining 1/3, he would only pick up 208. Of course that will not happen and the remaining 1/3 will be split among Cruz/Rubio/Kasich/Carson.

That puts Trump nearly 300 delegates ahead of the combined delegates of the others.

If Trump wins 2/3 of all of the March delegates, that would give him around 962. Add those he already has and that puts him at 962 + 82 current = 1044. That means he has to pick up around 193 delegates in April-May-June to reach the magic number.

Another problem with a late Romney entry is the Rule #40 that candidates must win 50% of the delegates in at least 8 states to be allowed to have their names put in nomination at the Convention.

What states would Romney (or any of the other candidates) win by 50% over Trump? Trump will likely have at least 8 such states after tomorrow.

The numbers do not seem to be there for Cruz, Rubio, Kasich, Carson, nor Romney.

On the other hand this could be a pretty good piece of political theatre.

It has served to underline and emphasize Trump’s outsider status.

Don’t really know at this point. Will watch how it hatches.

Republican Party - An extinct American political party that was founded by the Abolitionist Movement in the 1850’s, and played a major role in American politics before committing suicide in 2016.

It’s very simple. They play games and hand the nomination to Romney. . . . .and huge swaths of Conservatives simply sit on their hands, and stay home on Election Day. . .

Romney will finally spell Trump’s doom.

There is no better way to stop an anti-establishment candidate in an anti-establishment year than with the ultimate insider establishment politician. Romney even supports Obamacare, Amnesty, and restricting our individual right to keep and bear arms. Romney’s motto: “Losing in 2016 by less than our 2012 Loss!”

Trump hasn’t got a chance.
