Trump-Effect: Fox News Channel’s Brand Takes 50% Hit Among Republicans
Breitbart ^ | February 17, 2016 | by John Nolte

Just last week, a years-long tradition came to a screeching halt. “You want me to put it on Fox News,” I asked my wife. “No,” she replied. “I’m done with Fox News.”

My job is to monitor the mainstream media, which is something that eats up about 14 hours of a day that begins at 6 a.m. when the cable morning shows begin. Lying next to me, my good sport of a wife suffers through about an hour of “Morning Joe,” whatever they call that left-wing garbage fire on CNN, and the rest. Out of habit, before I head to my desk, without really asking I always ask, “You want me to put it on Fox?”

Fox News has a problem, and not just with my wife. According to a YouGov Brand Index survey, the perception of Fox News among Republicans has hit a three-year low, “has declined by approximately 50% since January of this year.”

Basically, perception of Fox News has returned to those bad old Dick Morris days after President Obama won re-election. Much of the fall has come in the last few months. There is no question that this precipitous drop is the result of Fox’s ongoing war with Donald Trump.

This might be a good time to tell you that my wife is not a Trump supporter. Her frustrations and disappointment in Fox News have nothing to do with her personal political preference. Like many, it is something much larger than that.

That’s OK you won’t need a station like FNC to help the Republican nominee get elected.

I had that sorted out a decade or more back. Most people in this country were still eyes wide shut.

Trump has made the uniparty finally publicly, individually out themselves and their agenda for all but the willfully ignorant to see. He has woken up a good portion of the sleepwalking public to the fact that their government is owned by people who hate them and are trying to permanently destroy their way of life. He is doing his level best to drive a stake through the heart of the PC culture that the media uses bully anyone who dares disagree with them and their masters. What else could you possibly ask of the man?

No, he’s not the second coming, but he’s better than any candidate the party has nominated in 30 years. He’s also the last obstacle standing between Hillary Clinton and the presidency. Hopefully that sobers a few people up, and quick.

Nothing I wouldn't ask of anyone who assumes the mantle of "Republican". To defend and advocate for the republic.

"To defend and advocate for the republic."

And you're a better judge of who best to do that than Jeff Sessions?

You are right. It’s a dyke doo. She’s in competition with Rachel. Fox is now competing with MSNBC for ratings.

And you're a better judge of who best to do that than Jeff Sessions?

Here's Donald Trump on the issue of starting to return federal land to the States:

"That's not good, because you want to keep the land great, and you don't know what the state's going to do with it.

Are they going to sell it if they get into a little bit of trouble? I don't think it should be sold. This is magnificent land and we have to be great stewards of this land. The hunters and the fisherman and all the different people who use this land."

On the use of Executive Orders

“I won’t refuse it. I’m going to do a lot of things,” Trump said when asked if he would use executive orders in an interview Sunday on NBC”s “Meet the Press.”

“I mean, he’s led the way, to be honest with you,” he added, referring to Obama.

The Republican primary front-runner said his executive orders, unlike the president’s, will be for the “right things.”

“But I’m going to use them much better and they’re going to serve a much better purpose than he’s done,” he said.

IMHO, these are not the answers I'd expect of a republican.

Whatever motivates Sessions is his business. This is mine. If it comes down to it in the General Election I'll probably vote for him because he sucks less than alternative, but he is by all appearances just another RINO.

“Hang on to what you knew about them the day before they announced for president. That’s who they are.”

A truth worth repeating. Whereas the MSM and FOX repeat lies and smears to achieve a group-think agenda. Unfortunatley their goal does not include providing the unbiased news to their viewers. They believe we are all pawns in their game to win.
