Florida Senator Marco Rubio successfully got Fox News – and Rush Limbaugh – to go easy on the so-called ‘Gang of Eight’ Amnesty legislation in 2013, according to the New York Times.
Rubio and fellow ‘Gang of Eight’ member, New York Senator Chuck Schumer, privately met with News Corporation owner Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes, the chairman and chief executive of its Fox News division, ” to keep the network’s on-air personalities from savaging the legislation and give it a fighting chance at survival,” according to the bombshell scoop from the Times.
Murdoch and Ailes agreed to give the two senators some “breathing room” during the January 17, 2013 meeting.
The media giants also advised the senators to make their case to Rush Limbaugh, in hopes the conservative talk radio icon would calm grass roots conservatives already angry at previous attempts to pass amnesty legislation.

This is not making a “deal”. People depend on supposed hard news outlets to provide REPORTS (which actually used to mean facts)on important topics like this. If this is true, then Fox colluded with Rubio and Schumer to PROMOTE this.
At that point, they cease to be a news outlet.

Limbaugh appears to have been more victim than participant in Rubio’s and Schumer’s con: On Jan. 29, 2013, the same day Mr. Obama highlighted immigration in Las Vegas, Mr. Limbaugh had Mr. Rubio on as a guest to talk about immigration and called him “admirable and noteworthy” during a warm conversation about the bipartisan immigration plan. “I know for you border security is the first and last — if that doesn’t happen, none of the rest does, right?” Mr. Limbaugh lobbed. “Well, not just that,” swung Mr. Rubio. “That alone is not enough.” The conversation concluded with Mr. Rubio saying: “Thank you for the opportunity, Rush. I appreciate it.”

This media, including Levin & Limbaugh & Beck, of course are sold out! They care about one thing...themselves. People have to be able to stop the co dependency with these flawed human beings.
Their bias seemed to happen as soon as Cruz won Iowa. It’s been like night and day with Limbaugh, as he demands we don’t notice he’s in the tank for Cruz. And Levin who used to be just as defensive for Rubio. I had to stop listening. Rush, Levin or Hannity will not touch the scandals against Trump by the RNC/NRSC (Cruz donor) & NRCC. Levin even went on a rant about those rotten bloggers who keep hounding him. The GOP AMNESTY/bad TRADE power held by the likes of Grover Norquist & Cesar Conda must be exposed, but not one of them will do it. Beck went after Norquist last year, then dropped it just as fast.

Well, it does explain why Rush has whitewashed Rubio being a member of the Gang of Eight, and has the nerve to still call him a “full-throated conservative.”
I saw a 60 minutes segment on this man some 25+ years ago.
This guy was a real stinker in college. He even sported a bust of Lenin (I think - maybe Marx) in his dorm room.

All you have to do is listen to Rush and Levin to know it’s true. The outfits they work for are pro amnesty/TPP/Nafta...all that lopsided cheap labor trade agreement.
It’s not just NY times pointing this out. You must realize, the so called ‘conservative’ media isn’t going to call them out...THEY ARE the ‘conservative’ media.
Sometimes, not often, the liberal media gets it almost right.
